I am giving this stay a 6 due to several issues we experienced. Upon arrival, the room had a very strong, musty odor that was difficult to ignore. We were in a rush at the time, so we changed quickly and left for dinner.
When we returned, we reported the issue to the front desk, but did not receive a response. After waiting about 45 minutes, we called back and were told there had been a shift change and no one was aware of our complaint.
The odor became even worse when we turned on the heat, as it seemed to be coming from the vent. We called again to request either a room change or for someone to address the smell. We were told it would be looked into, but after another 30 minutes with no resolution, we called back. At that point, we were exhausted and asked for a spray instead. Unfortunately, the spray did not help at all, and we ended up turning the heat off entirely.
Additionally, I booked the room through Expedia, and my expected balance was $92. However, I was charged nearly $800. I now have to wait for both the deposit and the duplicate charge for the room to be refunded to my bank account, which is very inconvenient.
Overall, while the stay was manageable, these issues significantly impacted our experience.
