Room was clean, steam room, sauna and pool was nice. Restaurant was nice but breakfast not recommended.

On arrival we were impressed with the reception areas and staff.
Until we checked into our room to find a steal ceiling joist, plaster board and a whole section of the ceiling open. So as we entered the roo. I fell over and was folled by the children then falling over me. When we went complain, we were offered free starbucks drinks for use in the morning. We were swapped to another room and then offered breakfast. But coming home it has dawned on me how serious that could have been. Had it fallen as either myself or my children entered the room.

The walls of the room (at higher points) were not clean.
The cafe was ok but not cheap

The second time i have stayed here. The first time, the room was great and just what I needed. The second time, I booked a compact room which was ridiculously hot and despite having the air con on full blast and coldest temp, it never cooled down. The air coming out of the air con was very weak and i struggled to sleep at all through the night, even with the desk fan on next to the bed.

Family swim on website says till 6pm
At 5 they closed off half the pool for lane swimming
Room - dreadful roller blind doesn’t black out the room at all as light seeps through both sides
Air con - couldn’t change it to warm so we’re all freezing all night

The room was clean and delightfully cool. The lack of overhead light at night was irritating. Checking in was a nightmare. Being older we struggled with the online check in. However, young families were struggling too. Despite help there were not enough people available to ensure ease of registration. Breakfast good. We were charged for parking. This, despite it clearly stating no cost at the weekend on the website and the in room Village news. This is illegal. I was refused refund. Overall a good hotel for young families not for the elderly.

When we arrived to our room, the room was very hot and there was no way we would be able to stay and sleep in there as a family of 4 and the air con was not working (in the UK heat wave). I went down to reception and spoke to Maria who went above and beyond to help us more rooms. There was no more double rooms to fit us but was moved to interconnecting rooms. So just wanted to say Maria was fantastic and a credit to the hotel team.
