No fridge, no sauna, restaurant closes at 10. Close to bus stop where you can buy tickets.

The hotel itself is beautiful and very conveniently located. Parking was easy. Breakfast was plentiful, but not catered to those looking for halal options. However, the staff appeared a bit cold — not sure it was due to cultural or language differences. The room had only one twin blanket with a duvet cover. The AC in our room would not cool and the room became uncomfortable to sleep at night. I called the reception to ask for help, but nobody answered the phone. Eventually, I sent an email to the hotel which went unanswered. The next morning, I informed the receptionist about the issues, and she said that she was already aware of them from my email. I had to go back to the reception again in the afternoon to ask for a blanket. I wish the service was better. The water supply in the bathroom also acted strangely. It would randomly swing between hot and cold while taking a shower. Overall, it was a mixed experience.

We had a lovely stay at the Arcotel Castellani. The room looked to be recently decorated was clean, spacious and had a lovely view of the mountains. Air con, tea, coffee and water was provided along with general toiletries in the bathroom. Check in and out was easy and they stored our luggage so we could explore after check out time without carrying bags around. It is about a 20 minute walk into the old town (a straight walk) but a number 3 or 8 tram will also take you there in 15 minutes. I’ve heard of free passes but we weren’t provided with one but a 24 bus pass is approx £5 so not too bad anyway.

I was staying 3 nights and unfortunately there was no hot water during my stay. The first 2 days there was just enough lukewarm water that I managed to shower, but unfortunately that wasn't the case the last day. Also there was some noice from ongoing renovations of the building

Everything was exactly as described. Great hotel, fabulous breakfast, and nice staff. Right off a bus stop too.

The hotel’s location is convenient, and the rooms themselves were clean and spacious. Unfortunately, the overall experience was negatively impacted by the reception staff, who clearly need retraining. This is a hospitality environment, yet there was no greeting, no welcome—just a cold, dismissive attitude that came across as “What do you want?” One front desk employee even questioned whether I really needed both rooms I had reserved for my party of four, which felt inappropriate and unprofessional. Her demeanor toward us was openly hostile. I can only speculate as to whether this treatment was influenced by the fact that we are American, but regardless, it was unacceptable. Additionally, one of the elevators was out of service, and the hotel generally felt somewhat neglected and in disrepair. Breakfast was acceptable for the price but lacked variety. This is unfortunate, as the hotel clearly has potential. With proper management and a focus on customer service—especially at the front desk—the experience could be significantly improved.
