Hotel Babula am Augarten

We’ve traveled all over the world but this hotel was garbage. We got to the room. The smell was awful. My partner went down stairs to let the receptionist know. He admitted that a pipe had burst that week and that haven’t been able to fix it. The fan that was in the room which was meant to cool the place down was blowing out hot air. Stains all over the rotten carpet floor. And what looked like sex stains on the bean bag. Just a terrible experience We couldn’t sleep in that more or be moved to another room so we have to canceled get a new hotel and complained to hotels.com.

There is a room without A/C it is very terrible to sleep

No fridge. No air conditioning. Room very hot at night. Room was quite spacious with night ceilings. There was no kettle. So very basic. I’d hate to stay there in hot weather

Quiet place. Minimalist room. 2 blocks to tram stop.

A great economical option for short term. Easy to get to from airport via train.

We stayed here in February 2026. While the location was convenient, we unfortunately had a very upsetting experience during our stay. After housekeeping accessed our room on the third day, my engagement ring was discovered missing. It had been placed together with other jewellery, which remained untouched. We reported this immediately, but were informed that no manager was on site and that there was no formal incident reporting process available at the time. We were also told that no further assistance could be provided. It was a my word against theirs situation. This was extremely distressing, and we were disappointed by the lack of clear procedure and management support in such a serious situation.

The room was clean, big and comfortable, i did like the breakfasts, they were fresh. The staff at the reception desk were kind. The night bartender guy was very rude
