Hotel Select Inn Aomori is an older hotel that feels like it needs some updating. However their service was excellent. We had breakfast included, they let us take a different bun everyday and one night provided a simple supper service as the local restaurants were all closed due to a holiday.

Booked this hotel as it was the last available room in town! (There was a big event on when I went to Aomori.)
Hotel is a bit of a walk from the main drag, but nothing too outrageous. There are two conbini close by.
The rooms are mostly well-kept, but very old and run down. The bathroom was tiny.
Wi-fi was patchy at best - I ended up hotspotting off my phone most of the time I was there.

The breakfast in the hotel is very good. There are a variable choic of small dishes. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

staff is friendly and the location is ok-ish, about 10 mins walk to the station and shops. decent free breakfast is also a plus.
the room and general area were really old and do not feel clean. ok for one night but don't think I will stay here again.

Convenient location but staff attitude wasn’t great! Requested to change a bigger for 9 nights cannot do anything! Room and washroom was very small.
