Westotel Le Pouliguen

We booked this hotel as it was one of only a few that had a pool in the area, with availability for our dates. So glad we did get a hotel with a pool (in fact this one has two) as we used both the pools daily. The hotel is nice and modern, great location only a short walk to the front and all the great restaurants and bars nearby. Rooms were cleaned daily and all the common areas were kept nice and clean too. Room was well air conditioned which was essential for us due to the warm weather. We stayed in a Family Duplex, so there was a large bed and sofa on the ground floor and a sofa bed on the upper floor. Before we booked, I did email the hotel and ask if the sofa bed upstairs was suitable for adults and they said it was - however, I would disagree with this unless you are a very small adult! Plenty of pillows provided, and we had a nice balcony with view of the harbour. If we could comment on just a few things: - Sofa bed on the upper level of the Duplex was quite tired looking and not comfortable. In fact, I don't know why the upper level doesn't have a normal bed, either two singles or a double. It would easily fit on there and as there is already another sofa on the lower level it's really not necessary to be a seating area. - Storage was minimal. Wasn't really enough hanging space or shelves for a family of 4. Could easily add more storage in these rooms. - Breakfast was ok and staff lovely but quite a few flies with doors open and food not covered.

We only stayed at this hotel because all the others is La Baule were fully booked. Our room was large and looked freshly decorated. The window opened up into the room The hotel was large and souless.

Steam room unavailable,,plastic cup in room, damage sofa,uncomfortable bed. Bed linen not replaced. 3*hotel more than 4

The room is allttle tired but clean and the bed is extremely comfortable

Beautiful hotel with great amenities

Lovely room very clean with large balcony, mini fridge in room, only downside was air con setting could not be changed, it was preset at 24deg which was ok but I tend to prefer a cooler room.

Second time I've stayed here in 3 x weeks. Fabulous hotel with excellent staff. Rooms are a great size, and the 'Harbour View' is delightful. Liked it so much I intend returning next Spring for a longer stay.

A fabulous hotel - top notch. Great size room, good breakfast, professional and friendly staff. Would definitely return.

Check-in time and process needs to be improved. 4pm is too late and every guest shows up at the same time at 4pm for this, and causes lines at the counter
