One of the best located resort-style hotels from which to explore the major historic sites in Malacca on foot. The size of the hotel rooms and apartments (located adjacent to the hotel) are huge compared to the other hotels and refurbished buildings nearby. It’s also unique as the architecture is Iberian rather than traditional Malaccan (baba nonya heritage), Malay/Chinese/ Indian or English colonial style. Lovely touches and quality hardwood floors/furniture throughout. I’ve stayed at both the hotel and the apartments, and would return and ask for the rooms overlooking river views.

The Residence is not the Casa Del Rio hotel. The picture of the property in the ad is the hotel not the Residence. Residence is a good place to stay. Nice apartment and convenient location.

Great location close to Jonker St but quiet enough. Lovely apartment with view of the canal river and next to the amenities of the hotel. Fittings and fixtures show some signs of aging but still a comfortable stay
