Extended Stay America Suites Long Island Melville

The room smelled like mildew. The kitchenette was dated and was not supplied with any kitchen ware. You had to request items.

Advertised breakfast. Not provided and when asked about it the employee just laughed and said no a truck was late. No trying to accommodate. I wanted coffee and no coffee. No food . No juice. Nothing. “We have vending machines “. Great. I paid 250 dollars for this room for one night and it was not maintained and no cups or ice bucket. No directory or map of hotel telling where to go for breakfast. Laundry. Etc. and when dealing with the staff during check in. Asking about breakfast and check out were very confrontational. Dismissing and uncaring. Not to mention the property made me make sure to keep my truck locked seeing it was dark. Unkept and not like any other experience I’ve had at an extended stay and I’ve had quite a few. Totally disappointed

I would not recommend this property for a 1 or 2 night stay. It is obviously meant for longer stay. If you are accustomed to checking into a hotel (at no matter the time) and having shampoo, etc. a hairdryer and access to an ice machine, this is not the hotel for you. The room and bed were comfortable, but it lacked the expected comforts of a regular hotel room.

Clean and serene environment.

We stayed overnight it was convenient for us .

Room was filthy, shower head leaked.

Horrible. Was like a shelter. Bums lingering around and the smell of weed throughout the entire place.

The hotel smells bad inside. The general manager Derick Wilson lets the staff discriminate against disabled guests. The hotel consistently loses their luggage dolly’s so no one can use them at check in times and checkout times so you cannot check out early and go to another hotel. Extended Stay America Hotels need to do a lot of looking into how this hotel operates and fix it. I am trying to check out early as I was waiting for my apartment to be available as I just moved to NY. As a disabled veteran I cannot carry my luggage and belongings to my car without a luggage dolly. Extended Stay America Hotels please help with this horrible situation.
