Hotel INTERGATE KANAZAWA

The room itself was comfortable, but the overall experience fell short of expectations. The biggest disappointment was the staff in the communal lounge area. Kicking out guests during published available hours. On multiple occasions they came across as unfriendly and unwelcoming, often giving dismissive looks and making us feel uncomfortable. While I can’t speak to their intentions, the interactions consistently left a poor impression. At $100/night at 3 nights it got old quick. Staff at front desk were nice. The front desk staff spoke very little English. This wasn’t a major problem if you know some basic Japanese, but travelers who don’t may have difficulty communicating. The amenities were much more basic than those offered by lower priced hotels we stayed at during our 3mo trip. The laundry facilities were particularly frustrating. It cost ¥600, but after approximately 90 minutes my laundry, a pair of cotton pants, a lightweight poly-blend undershirt, and a pair of boxers, was still not dry. That was a significant waste of both time and money. The shower also would not stay in position, making it inconvenient to use. AC would turn off in the middle of the night and room would heat up quick on the summer heat. TV options were limited for local programming. No option to airplay or use streaming / digital apps. Overall, the room was comfortable, but the service, amenities, and poorly performing laundry facilities would make me choose a different hotel next time.

I love this hotel! They offer complementary snacks and drinks throughout a day and happy hours for wine and Champagne and rice soup as night snack 8-10 pm. I also loved their breakfast, with fee but worth it. The hotel has a hot spring bath, I loved it.

Rooms and overall property very clean. Complimentary wine (red & white), champagne, juices, and appetizers offered between 5:00 - 7:00 pm is a bonus. Will definitely try other Intergate Hotels around Japan.

Rooms cleaned daily; helpful and knowledgeable staff; great breakfast with a blend of Japanese and western dishes. It in the center so it’s easy to get around Kanazawa city
