Sheraton Cebu Mactan Resort

My first buffet breakfast in this stay left a bad taste as I ordered an omelet at the egg station but I almost finished my breakfast already (30mins approximately) and after 2 follow ups, I saw only 1 chef manning the egg station with a thick pile of egg requests. For a huge resort that purports to being at the 5 star level, this is unacceptable delay and something I've never experienced in all of the Bonvoy Marriott Group. So I expressed my displeasure to the f&B personnel both in person and email and to their credit, they apologized and sent a fruit basket to mollify the unfortunate experience. Other than that, the rooms were as good as ever, service was very good and personnel were professional and warm. We also enjoyed their spa services which has very good therapists. Also the gym was good and the swimming pool too. The beach quality is not as good but that isnt the fault of the resort. One last nitpick is that we attempted to ask for a 30 minute extension late checkout (standard checkout time is 12:00pm and we requested for 12:30pm) as we are Platinum members of Hotels.com and many hotels do give that little leeway but with Sheraton Mactan, they denied this as they stick strictly to their 12:00pm check-out despite us checking in already late at 8pm and with the aforementioned Platinum status. All in all, it was a good local resort and I would rate it as one of the top 3 resorts in Mactan notwithstanding my egg station difficulties on the first day.

Check in was smooth and fast. Staff were very attentive and accomodating to our needs and requests. The rooms were ready and clean. Very nice swimming pools. Love the beach access. Breakfast was one of the best we had on this trip. Great staff from check in and and everywhere. .

My family and I booked 2 rooms for 1 night just to see the resort. We live near the area, and wanted to try out. Upon arrival all staff was nice, no complaints we were greeted with juice! Rooms were clean, had a snack bar, and came with free complimentary water bottles. There are 3 outdoor pools that compliments the resort. The only complaint I had was lack of buffet options.

Our stay even if it’s just a short one night stay was the best. The room is clean and smells wonderful. We were able to sleep good and feel refreshed the following day. Breakfast was superb starting from the smiling staff welcoming you with their heartfelt Filipino way of saying welcome home ! Food is of great variety, fresh and prepared well. Kudos to the management and staff! Looking forward to seeing you again.

Poor experience. Room phones do not work. Motion detectors (that automatically turn all electricity in your off) do not function correctly. This is a $500 / night five-star hotel that provides a two-star experience. Staff are extremely dismissive of concerns. Your better choice would be Shangri-La Mactan.

My son and I stayed here in the beginning of our travel and then again before we flew out. The staff were wonderful, they had an amazing spread for breakfast buffet (I would highly recommend getting the breakfast included if offered), the room was beautiful and clean, and the pool! Well you just have to see it to appreciate the different levels tha lead to their beach! Thank for a wonderful stay!
