Wedgewood Hotel

The location is excellent--just a short walk from both the Queensway and Bayswater tube lines as well as numerous bus stops. There's no food on site that I ever saw (although maybe that's an upgrade I didn't pay for), but there are countless little breakfast and coffee shops only blocks away. The area feels very safe and clean. I got home from a day trip extremely late one night, and I didn't feel unsafe. My key card easily opened the outside door, and there's a 24-hour clerk at the desk. There's an elevator that I never had to wait for longer than a minute or two. My room was exactly as described, and the staff kept it clean. Really my only problem was that this hotel is not air conditioned, so choose your time of year wisely. I had the bad luck of staying here in the middle of a historic heatwave. Obviously this isn't the hotel's fault, but I barely slept because I was sweating to death. There's a fan in the room, and I left it running the entire time, and I left the window open. But none of that helped, and it was pretty miserable. Again, this isn't the hotel's fault, but be careful staying here in the summer.

Very convenient for buses shops and underground very glad of the fan as it was so hot air conditioning would be a good addition

I only stayed one night there. The toilet won't flesh and no hot water at all. called the front desk, the guy came up and told me he can do nothing about it. No maintenance guy was available. very disappointed. I don't think I should pay the full amount at all. Please follow up. thanks,

Situated in really good quiet residential area within close walking proximity to Bayswater and Queensway tubes. Plenty of shops, bars, cafes for breakfast and lovely pub Prince Alfred on corner. Easy as base to explore areas on foot. Downside: small room with pocket size bathroom with fan but no air con so struggled with extreme heat. However hotel clean, staff friendly and great location at reasonable price. Would recommend.

First time and last time I ever stayed on terrible hotel

Good location to local shops and restaurants. Rooms is quite small and we unfortunately had BED BUGS in the bed and got bitten by them. But staff was very helpful and let us change rooms. I think our rooms was also missing a bedside table because the phone was just sitting on the floor ?

The room was clean enough. We did get an extra chair put in the room which took up a lot of unnecessary space. The location worked well for us in relation to airport and places we wanted to see.

The hotel was close to Hyde Park and a convenient walk to the bayswater underground station. It has convenience and it wasn’t very expensive.

Our stay was wonderful! It was super clean and close to the sights. Walkable area and 3 tube stations nearby. Highly recommend a stay here if you’re looking for a quaint place to stay!

Nice hotel but the rooms smelled mouldy and the sheets smelt stale and like they’d been cleaned with cheap detergent at best
