Mateo, Tristan, women at front desk and young guys at pool all bar super kind, professional, and fun! Others like Alberto and Victor were always angling for higher tips and service contingent on that, alone. Cleaning staff works hard and property very clean and well-maintained! Older rooms: stains, creaky doors and slow drain in showers and sinks.

Pros: Very friendly staff - restaurant had great servers - Albert, Hugo, Lizbeth, Victor and Jorge. Friendly, helpful and prompt. Food and drink at this resort was good and fast. The massage therapists Nelly and Tere were incredible - a must-do during your visit. And Matteo was very accommodating and helpful with hotel and general island info. The main pool was relaxing, enough chairs for all guests. The rooftop pool and jacuzzis were my husband’s favorite feature, with incredible views. Rooms and common areas were clean. We felt safe here and on the island, in general. We had everything we needed for a relaxing visit. Cons: the resort is nice but is due for some upkeep/refresh/maintenance. The beach (while the ocean/water is beautiful and clean!) was less than desirable - not much space or water to enjoy, and the cabanas were dirty every day - I did not use them once! The resort is next-door to a popular bar, which has boats coming and going constantly, so swimming past the (manmade) sand barges was not safe. Pool and jacuzzis were dirty most days and need a good scrub. One note: there is only one restaurant at this quaint resort, though it has a full menu with many options for food and drink. It opens for lunch and dinner; the Snack Bar is your option for lunch, with a limited menu. Our family of 5 (2 parents, 2 young adult children and one teenager) had a lovely visit and greatly enjoyed our time here. Thank you for the great service and memories!

The resort was beautiful. If I rated it poor by accident I didn’t mean that. One small inconvenience is when we arrived we couldn’t check in to our room till 3:10pm, which was understandable. We mentioned to the front reception desk, we would just grab food and wait. they indicated that we would have to pay for our meals due to not checking in. Which made no sense, because we were ready to check in but they didn’t allow us till after 310pm. Another small issue my little one wanted a virgin iced drink, we waited 10 minutes or so to have him tell us he couldn’t make the drink he was too busy. Lastly, the towel situation. I understand it’s our responsibility to take the dirty towels to the reception check in area but when your rudely told your only allowed to change towels once a day, and the cleaning lady takes your towels the day before kinda puts you in a small bind with the towel receptionist lady. I did have to explain the situation letting her know the towel I had was the day before & I knew it was past 3pm but we left to go swimming to Playa Norte and we were just getting back. According to the lady that was there this morning the clean towels don’t arrive back from was till 10am. the rest of the towels were accidentally taken from the cleaning lady. Please note that I am not blaming her. No matter how politely you asked it’s like the receptionist had a chip on her shoulder.

Property is still currently hotel belo- needs a lot of renovations and upkeep. I believe while we were there they were short staffed. They have very limited food options (only one area for lunch and everything else shut down) and while We stayed there our floor lost power for several hours (at night- it was hot!) front desk staff acted like it was no big deal- didn’t try to help or accommodate just basically told us to wait. Other staff were nice and helpful/ wait staff. Beach area is very small but good thing is it’s quiet and not super busy area. Not a place you can walk around. Both pools had lots of areas with broken tiles and needed repair. There was a bar on the rooftop pool, but no one was ever manning it or offering anything while we were there. Hopefully Wyndham can do some upgrades and renovations and make this place a little better.

There are many amazing things about this resort. Specifically, some of the staff are incredible - Alberto, Victor, Abdel (all amazing at their jobs!). They were always so kind and attentive during any meal we had! The rooms were clean and the beach front was very nice and relaxing. The food was incredible (breakfast, lunch and dinner). Lots of selection and really enjoyed how fresh everything was. The front desk staff struggled a bit with friendliness. I chalked that up to being very busy and likely not a lot of support. The rooms did not always get cleaned and our room key some times did not work and we waited quite a bit to get it fixed. The pool was too hot to use but we used the upstairs pool instead and the beach! Both great choices! Other than that, it was a good property to stay at for the price :)

Stayed for five days on a solo trip. I really didn’t have any issues to speak of except for the beach activities that were non existent lol. The gym was excellent and no one else was there anytime I went so there was no wait time for anything. I personally wasn’t a huge fan of the food but I met plenty of people who thought it was outstanding. That’s just the way palates work:) but it was nice to not have to think about where to eat first thing in the morning or just have a guaranteed food option in a pinch. Special shoutout to Davey in the restaurant- super sweet and helpful. Also some people complained about the size of the beach but I liked it. It was on the smaller side but I felt like it served its purpose and was excellent for meeting new people- which I did and sharing pro tips for places to visit on the island and just talk to people from all over the world. Heads up- they only have small shampoo, conditioner and bar soap for bathing- so pack some from home. My AC was super cold, shower water and pressure were fantastic. If I returned, I might opt out of all inclusive but solely bc I don’t drink alcohol and there are some amazing restaurants on the island that I didn’t mind spending extra money on in leu of the food options at the restaurant :)

Staff were attentive and friendly.

The view is pretty. And the staff is polite. However, the “villa” we booked and the room we were given that was called a “Villa” were two very different things. No large L-shaped couch or huge living area like the photos showed, no copper tub, no desk area. It was two adjoining rooms with a small kitchen that contained not a single spoon, fork, cup or dish. There was a tiny living room area and dining table, but no tv. There are no drawers in the bedrooms at all. You are only allowed two Nespresso pods per room per day. The lobby smells like a case of bad body spray exploded. Every day of the week that we were there. It’s bad. Pool tiles are falling off at both pools and the water is very warm and cloudy. Breakfast is ok. But lunch or dinner is not edible at all. The meat was still frozen in the middle. The shrimp in the ceviche wasn’t even de-veined. It was very disappointing, especially because the only option is the all inclusive package. So we paid for meals and watered down drinks and had to eat out every day. The property next door is being renovated. Workers were outside at 4:30am trimming palm trees and hammering and sawing. Three nights in a row. I had to ask them to stop myself. There was a wedding on the beach in front of the resort the final night of our stay. It would have been nice to be told in advance that we would not have access to the beach after 5pm on our final night. We ended up having to take a taxi to Playa Norte.

The staff are extremely welcoming and are very friendly. The food was great, cocktails are great and overall I will definitely come back. They also have information and access to rental golf carts at the front desk. FYI the meal portions are small but very delicious.
