කියෝතෝ හි දේව මාලිගාවේ කන්‍යා අත්දැකීම

This was a once in a lifetime experience, facilitated by the lovely miko guide, who spoke perfect English and had a lot of patience. Aside from dressing up like a shrine maiden, you learn about their life and duties, including participation in a ritual and learning part of a special dance. This experience was one of the main highlights of my trip, I highly recommend it!

This has to be my favourite experience in Japan so far (other than getting engaged lol). Chihiro was amazing! I am a history teacher and this shrine maiden experience was awesome to better understand Shinto customs. When I come back to Japan, I will be redoing this for sure !! My fiancé wasn’t sure if he could stay to watch and there was no problem for him to watch and take pictures!

Muy interesante! La profesora hablaba muy bien inglés, aunque yo tengo muy mal nivel, la entendía estupendamente! Nos enseñó a hacer una ofrenda, una danza del santuario, a purificar las manos... Éramos sólo dos en clase! Lo recomiendo!

This experience was one of a kind! I highly recommend this for anyone interested in miko or new religion customs and ceremonies. They are so informative and kind. It was amazing.

This experience was my favorite part of my trip to Kyoto! As someone who loves to study Shintoism and visit shrines, I found this experience extremely interesting and full of amazing things to learn! The instructor was so knowledgeable and taught me so much!

මම මෙය තායිලන්ත ජනතාව සඳහා තායි භාෂාවෙන් ලියන්නම්. කියෝතෝ වෙත පැමිණෙන අයට මෙය ඉතා නිර්දේශිත ක්‍රියාකාරකමකි. අපි විනාඩි 100ක පාඨමාලාවක් වෙන්කරවා ගත්තා. එය ඉතා වටිනා විනාඩි 100ක් වූයේ දෙවියන්ට නමස්කාර කිරීමේ නැටුම් සහ දෙවියන්ට ගරු කිරීම වැනි දේවල් ඉගෙන ගැනීමට ලැබුණු නිසාය. අපට පුහුණුව ලබා දුන් ගුරුවරිය ඉතාමත් ආදරණීය හා කරුණාවන්ත විය. සන්නිවේදනයේ කිසිදු ගැටලුවක් තිබුණේ නැත. ඇය ඉතා මිත්‍රශීලී විය. පාඨමාලාව අවසානයේ අපි ටිකක් කතාබස් කර ලස්සන ඡායාරූප කිහිපයක්ද ගත්තෙමු. සමස්තයක් වශයෙන්, මෙය ඉතා නිර්දේශිත ක්‍රියාකාරකමකි.

일본 여행은 처음이 아니지만 혼여 온 김에 이것저것 즐기자 하고 예약했는데 나름 신선한 체험이었습니다. 제가 앞에 다른 일정 때문에 늦었는데도 문제없이 체험할 수 있었습니다. 진행은 영어로 되었는데 엄청 유창하시고 제가 순서를 헷갈려서 여러 번 삐걱거렸는데 정말…… 인내심 있게 몇 번이고 다시 설명해 주셨습니다. 순서 자체는 기도나 춤 등 무녀의 하루 일상을 그대로 체험하는 프로그램입니다. 체험이 끝나면 포토타임이 주어지는데 저는 찍어줄 사람이 없어서 진행하시는 치히로님이 정성 가득 찍어주셨습니다. 지금 생각하면 함께 찍었어야 했는데 아쉬워요~ 일본스러운 감성을 느끼고 전통문화에 관심 있는 분은 한번 체험해 볼 가치가 있다고 생각합니다💕

Fue una experiencia unica y muy enriquecedora, ese dia participabamos dos personas solo asi que pude aprender muchas cosas de la cultura japonesa y las Miko con calma, tanto Chihiro-san que fue nuestra "profesora" como el resto del personal del templo fueron muy amables y atentos. Recomiendo esta experiencia si quieres vivir algo distinto en tu viaje.

So far, it has been the best experience of my trip. Participating in this activity felt like a dream come true. It is a truly inspiring and educational tour. Chihiro (who speaks excellent English and is a great instructor) proved to be very friendly despite my clumsiness. The shrine, although small, is extremely beautiful and provides an intimate and relaxed atmosphere. I also enjoyed being able to practice what I had learned with the priest. I wasn't expecting it, but it was very exciting. Without a doubt, these people are doing wonderful work. Thank you very much for everything!

It was a wonderful experience overall! Our sensei was very nice, spoke good English, patient, friendly, taught us the basics of being a proper miko including the dance and I loved that I got to experience it and be able to execute the learnings later on w the priest. The staff there were all so sweet and nice and the shrine is beautiful.
