We had an incredible experience with Tom as our tour guide in Kyoto. From the start, everything felt completely customized. He met us at the train station and made the day seamless and stress free. He even went beyond the scheduled time, which added so much unexpected value. Tom introduced us to food stands we never would have found on our own, including matcha chocolate, pickles, and sesame spice. He elevated our visits to Nishiki Market, Arashiyama Bamboo Forest, and Fushimi Inari Taisha, and also took the time to teach us proper shrine etiquette, which made the experience more meaningful. A huge highlight was the photos. Tom took over 100 beautiful pictures of my husband and me during our honeymoon, which we will cherish forever. That alone made the tour priceless. Overall, this experience far exceeded our expectations. Tom is knowledgeable, thoughtful, and genuinely invested in creating an unforgettable day. Our guide Mark was very knowledgeable and friendly. He prepared a perfect itinerary based on our expressed interests, and he made it all go off on time and without issues. We even had a few impromptu opportunities to see landmarks we hadn't requested but that turned out to be highlights. Mark's English is impeccable, and he navigates the local environment like a champ.
