It was nice! Clean, beautiful and interesting, it’s definitely worth the price tag. The dolphin show was a highlight and you can tell the dolphins instructors have a personal relationship with the animals. Also the giant salamanders at the front are HUGE and I love them so much. Also the seals are adorable. Enough said.

I was blown away by the variety and cleanliness of this aquarium. I’ve seen quite a few in my time and this was absolutely the best one I have been to so far. such clean exhibits, thoughtful staff and a positive energy. great selection of merchandise at the shop and tons of hands on activities for kids. I went alone but still had a great time. definitely worth the time and money

a very good place to bring your kids and families. There are a few activities that could be joined such as making a hat. there's a dolphin show. there are cafes and tables for you to eat and lots of place for you to take a break and rest. easy to redeem. the staff is friendly and helpful.

Kyoto Aquarium was honestly such a highlight of my trip. The best part? It was only a 6-minute walk from my hotel — literally the easiest and cutest adventure ever. As soon as I walked in, everything felt so calm and beautifully put together. The jellyfish displays were magical, the penguins were adorable, and every section felt like stepping into a little underwater world.
But what really made the experience even better was the staff. They were so friendly, helpful, and genuinely passionate about what they do. You could feel how much they cared about the animals and about making sure everyone had a great time. It just made the whole visit feel extra special.
Such a peaceful, amazing spot — close, convenient, and filled with heart. I’m so glad I went. 💙🌊🐧

It was super easy to book and the staff helped me open my admission ticket at the door. The aquarium in Kyoto was super magical and surreal! I saw the giant salamanders, penguins, dolphins, seals, multiple native fishes and jellyfish. I think the experience was great if you love seeing marine creatures! if your unable to understand japanese they had alot of QR codes for languages they could be translated to~

Beautiful and tranquil - great place to chill for a few hours away from the crowds. Turn your Google Translate camera in to learn of humorous tidbits (e.g., penguin hookups and breakups). Sea of Kyoto exhibit can be videoed without obstructions or interruptions from crowds if you get there early. Countryside of Kyoto exhibit is unique for an aquarium and if you visit during the right time you’ll see tadpoles in the mud and their older frog brothers and sisters. Loved my day here!

A cute aquarium in Kyoto! My husband and I had a cute date here! We loved all the cute desserts from the cafeteria area! The aquarium had some interesting fish from the kyoto river! The penguins were all so cute!

La giornata all’acquario è stata bellissima! si vede che trattano molto bene gli animali presenti, è tutto pulito e c’è costantemente presenza di personale. Gentilissimi e disponibili. I delfini e i pinguini in particolare sono adorabili 😍 davvero consigliato!
