I had a wonderful time learning how to play two different songs on the Gayageum: Arirang and Inuyasha! I have a music background so it was easier for me to progress quickly. It is a great experience since I've only seen the instrument before, but not get to try to play it. It does take a bit to get used to since it is pentatonic based and the higher the pitce, it goes closer to you rather than away. Definitely recommend it for all musicians!

あっという間の時間でした。楽しくて楽しくて、難しいところもあるけど、それもまた楽しかったです。先生も分かりやすく説明してくれて、一緒に弾いてくれるのが、安心してできました。また、訪れたいと思います。次は、友人を誘って行きたいです。そのときは、またよろしくお願いします。

Dieser Workshop ist definitiv ein kleines Juwel unter den Aktivitäten, die man in Seoul machen kann. Die Lehrerin erklärte das Stück sehr kleinschrittig, sodass ich gut mitgekommen bin und am Ende ein schönes Video als Andenken aufnehmen konnte. Das OST von Inuyasha sowie das Instrument allgemein klingen wirklich schön und ich hätte es mir sogar noch viel länger anhören wollen. Insgesamt eine erinnerungswürdige kulturelle Erfahrung.

We had a really educational time with our teacher. She was very helpful, motivating and competent. We had the choice between the Inuyasha ost or the Arirang song. This was my first time ever trying to play an Instrument and I am normally aweful with rhythm or notes but we pulled through and ended the session with a successful recording of my progress.

this was soooo fun!! the instructor is sweet and rather patient. AND SOOOOO TALENTED!!! she gives you an option of instrument which is based off the song option you choose to learn. my options were either a traditional Korean folk song or the OST from Inuyasha. The location is easy to find and the area is soooo cute. gave me definite kdrama vibes.

This was my very first time playing a musical instrument, and I absolutely loved the experience ! The instructor was incredibly kind and patient. Sometimes I had difficulty understanding, but she always took the time to repeat and rephrase things with great kindness so I could follow along. The result wasn’t perfect, but I was really satisfied for a first try, and I felt proud of what I achieved. I also really appreciated the tea and snack, as well as the fact that she offered to film our experience. it made the moment even more special. I highly recommend this experience without hesitation ! She is very gentle, and her English is truly excellent.

This was a very fun experience and my first time trying one of the Asian lyre instruments. It was a lot easier to pluck and get a beautiful sound out of the strings than I originally thought. The studio is very clean and neat. The friends I sent the video to also said it was very healing. The instructor is very patient and nice. Feel free to ask a lot of questions like I did. I highly recommend trying this if you have some time. I know I will be recommending it to my friends as well. Thank you again!

I was so grateful the instructor came to teach me on such a cold wintry day. She was very encouraging and patient, and I learned the basics of playing the 12-string gayageum pretty quickly. The studio is nice, clean, and brightly lit and the instruments were beautiful. Highly recommended!

Instructor helped me learn so much within 50 minutes! Her English was very good and the whole lesson was really informative.
