Due to my late arrival and early departure, I did not interact directly with staff, only through messaging. However, they were VERY attentive and super helpful. The room and facility were clean and organized. It’s not the newest place in the world, but is very well kept and quite charming. I had absolutely not complaints. With the recent heat wave, the fan that was in the room was a welcome treat! Thanks for a very pleasant stay!!

Our stay at Gasthof Bären in Habkern was truly unforgettable and one of the highlights of our trip to Switzerland. A very special thank you to Carina, who went above and beyond to make our stay exceptional. She kindly assigned us Room 207, and waking up every morning to the breathtaking mountain views was simply magical. Her warmth, professionalism, and genuine hospitality made us feel right at home. The breakfast each morning was outstanding—fresh, delicious, and incredibly generous, with plenty of choices to start the day perfectly. A special mention also goes to Beatrice’s son, who greeted us with a warm smile every morning at breakfast. His friendly nature and excellent service made each day begin on a wonderful note. The entire team at Gasthof Bären made us feel welcome throughout our stay, and their attention to detail and genuine care for their guests truly set this hotel apart. We would highly recommend Gasthof Bären to anyone visiting the Interlaken and Habkern area. Thank you, Carina, Beatrice’s son, and the entire team for making our Swiss vacation so memorable. We can’t wait to return and stay with you again!

The property was beautiful and our room had a great view. The hotel staff were extremely nice and helpful. The food at the restaurant was great. One note, when traveling to and from Interlaken, the busses take a 2-3 hour rest around dinner time so make sure to plan your afternoon accordingly.

It's was a wonderful stay, the staff were really friendly, booking included breakfast which i must mention the bread they serve were very delicious. I love the quiet and peaceful environment.

So amazing! This is an authentic chalet tucked in the mountains. It’s a quick drive to Lauterbrunnen or there’s a free bus. I love the little grocery market that’s across the street. Just a stone throw away. This market has famous croissants that are a regional favorite.. but don’t eat too many because the breakfast at this hotel is great. The staff was very polite. The only thing I would encourage them to do is provide coffee in the rooms. They do have teabags in the hallway and water kettles in the rooms. However, I feel like even instant coffee in the rooms would have been nice as well as instant creamer. If you stay, and you need an extra pillow or sheets, you might want to pre-arrange that before you arrive. Everything was great.

We enjoyed our stay and Carina and Christian are fabulous.
