I stayed at L'Oliveraie de l'Atlas at the beginning of February and had a lovely, peaceful experience. This quiet hotel, located just outside Marrakesh, is surrounded by a beautiful and spacious garden with several swimming pools. The water was a bit too cold for me at this time of year, but other guests were still enjoying a swim.
The hotel is designed in the style of a traditional Moroccan riad, with large, clean, and comfortable rooms. It’s the perfect place if you’re looking for calm, relaxation, and a break from the busy city.
There’s a free shuttle service to Marrakesh, which is very convenient, and taxis were also reasonably priced — around 130 MAD one way to the Medina. The hotel also offers a nice choice of Moroccan wines and beers.
As it was February, evenings were quite chilly, but the staff made it cosy with a fire in the fireplace and heating in the rooms, which I really appreciated.
Overall, a great experience and highly recommended for anyone wanting a peaceful retreat close to Marrakesh.
