Nice place

Great property right in Covent garden. Air conditioning didn't work the best was quite hot.

We paid around £212 per night and initially loved our stay so much that we decided to extend it. Unfortunately, our final day was spoiled by poor communication and an unpleasant interaction with a receptionist named Elena. We were told we had to move rooms, so we woke up early and packed all our luggage. When we arrived at reception, Elena informed us we had actually been upgraded and could stay in the same room—but nobody had informed us beforehand. When I simply expressed surprise, she responded in a rude and condescending manner, saying, “If you don’t want the upgrade, I’ll give you the smaller room,” even though I had never refused it. The lack of communication was frustrating, but Elena’s attitude was what truly disappointed us. On the other hand, the curly-haired gentleman working in the breakfast area was incredibly kind, welcoming, and professional, and he deserves recognition. It’s a shame that one staff member’s behaviour overshadowed what had otherwise been a lovely stay. For a hotel at this price point, I expected much better customer service.

My family of four recently stayed at Z Hotel Covent Garden for three dreamy nights in which we completely fell in love with London. We had the loveliest stay at Z Hotel Covent Garden, with a calm, reflective, blossoming churchyard just outside the door, and steps from the bustling Covent Garden shops, stalls, and restaurants--and centrally located in ways that everything feels walkable, pleasantly so (even during a heatwave!), including the tube stops for easy travel beyond the area. I would have written such a review even *before* I accidentally left behind some personal items, but my estimation of this hotel has risen all the more, given that staff managed to find and package up precious items that I had forgotten in our haste to catch our morning transportation. After our trip, I exchanged numerous messages with Z Hotel staff, and they were incredibly gracious, supportive, compassionate, and swift in assuring me that they'd found what I'd lost and could send it to me immediately. I am particularly grateful to Ajith, Juned, Wing, and Mohith, for going the extra mile during our stay and beyond. I searched high and low for a well-reviewed hotel with large enough rooms for family in a central location at a reasonable price, and Z Hotel Covent Garden exceeded my expectations. Our air-conditioned room (for four) was cozy, and our kids loved the double bunk. Look no further than here.
