I loved EVERYTHING

I had a superb winter avoidance break at Bahia Principe. The pre booked transfer with Amstar worked perfectly both ways - just over an hour from Cancun. I opted for the shared transport but was the only passenger on both trips! Really good and competent drivers - if you’re unfamiliar with the locality this is a much better option than renting a car for yourself! The room was fabulous, stocked minibar replenished daily, comfortable bed, clean and spacious shower room, small balcony to relax on and really efficient air con for the hot days. The joy of the resort is the ability to jump into an electric shuttle bus and use any of the five connected resorts, each of which has its own vibe, architecture and restaurants. Food in the buffet restaurants was the best I have ever experienced at an all inclusive resort. Huge range of options, everything was freshly made, well presented and tasted great. The staff in the restaurants and bars were very hard working yet universally cheerful, polite and helpful. Live evening entertainment in every resort was, er, entertaining! Mariachi (of course), rock band, ABBA tribute act, all really good stuff to get into the holiday spirit! A couple of acts made me wonder if it was karaoke night (it wasn’t) but that’s pretty much what you expect. I was recovering from knee replacement surgery so I didn’t try any excursions. But I’m definitely coming back again when I can! Book speciality restaurants before you arrive. They are great but busy.

Beautiful place, plenty of activities, only thing you need to inform guest of another housekeeper coming later in the day after 9pm the guest should be asked if service is needed no be surprised by someone coming into the while in bed

The location and the lush jungle makes it such a pretty place to stay.

Great food , great resort great staff, butt if you are staying at the siian kaan, don't expect a trolly back to that resort after dinner or anything you do, waited every dinner for over 45 minuts, ended up walking back from the hacienda after over an hour wait for the trolly, other than that horrible experience, it was amazing amd highly recommend it,

Camila (Guest service host ) was amazing …She gave our whole family ,6 Star service! Organized special dinners ,set up are al carte diinners,arranged our rooms we requested and set a Birthday day celebration!! We will be back…!Thank you so much!!!

The staff nails it, loved them!

We had 4 of us doing a golf trip, we had booked 2 rooms with 2 queen beds in each room and they said we could not get that they only had rooms with 1 King available and they would put a Cot in there to help. The room was not very comfortable once the cot was added as it couldn't accommodate another sleeping space. When we checked in they gave us tickets for our travel golf bags and said they would transfer it to our rooms once ready as we would be out golfing when the room became available. We got back after our round and our baggage was still sitting beside the bus stop and hadn't been moved so that was beyond frustrating that this wasn't taken care of as offered. The food was okay we always just did the Buffet option and the breakfast was always good the Dinner buffet was just okay, not as many options.

We very much enjoyed our stay @ Sian Kahn. Here is why. This property is smaller than the other Bahia Principe properties. Our room was literally right at the 3 pools and restaurant there. We had very little walking. So close to the main lobby, buffet and spa. Yes, the shuttle (which were is good shape and safe) took us to the other properties whenever we wanted. Those properties have more walking and yes, they are beautiful and more modern. For us, we wanted very low key and to rest, rest, rest. Excellent massages!!!! We went to the tequila tasting Very fun. Pastor was our host that night very funny. We had so much tequila it was very very cheap for the amount we got. He also made sure our buffet experiences were perfect. We also went to the Fire dancer party. What a party many many many tequila shots were had and good dancing fun. Sian Kahn is exactly what we needed this trip. Could the rooms be modernized? Yes but, are quite adequate and very quiet. 1000% would come back.

It’s listed as a 5 star but it’s more of a 3 star resort. Food was mediocre at best. After our stay in Princess Yucatán in Sept 2025 (which is a luxury 5 star resort with exquisite food), we were excited for the food and the restaurants, but it was such a let down. Buffets were bad to mediocre. The steakhouse was so terrible. Now saying that, the à la cartes are better quality. The Alux was the best and most delicious food I had there so I would recommend that restaurant. The seafood is good, Maiko was good, the smoked BBQ was good, Brazilian was ok. We also had 2 stomach aches during our stay. Could be attributed to food quality and cleanliness. Oh and nothing is open late. Buffets and room service are closed at 10:30pm. There is a snack bar open till 1am. And breakfast ends at 10:30am. The room was very basic and only had a bed sheet, no comforter. You had to request blankets and they were flannel blankets. You could hear the music from the pool blaring at 11am. So no sleeping in if that’s your thing. Beaches are meh. Lots of seaweed or rocky. I got a bunch of sand flea bites all over my legs (about 40 of them), so bring bug spray. Aside from that the rest is good. Beautiful pools, lots of activities to do in each resort and I still had fun and a great experience. Oh, and the crowd is older so if you wanna party you have to go to the other resorts, mainly Tequila, Coba and La Hacienda. Great place for drinks, pools and activities but not for food.
