Great area, super clean and the owner was really friendly with some great picks for local restaurants. Also has laundry too. Great value option for families

My stay at Stella was amazing. The host, Shuji, was kind enough to make himself available for when I arrived, to make sure the check in process was smooth. The room was spacious and clean. Although men only had one shower to share (there is more than one men’s only toilet), I never waited to use it, nor did I make anyone else. The host was also gracious enough to give recommendations for food and visiting spots around Kanazawa, which I tried and enjoyed greatly. He even called one of my upcoming accommodations to confirm my booking and other details since I had some questions. Location is also excellent, only a few minutes walk from the Higashi Chaya district which is absolutely beautiful, though a small distance from Kanazawa station. Overall, I had a great time in Kanazawa and that was thanks to the guesthouse and the host’s kindness.

The host was very nice and gave tons of recommendations for activities and food around. I would definitely recommend!

Great guesthouse with great service. The owner even upgraded us to a bigger room on our third night when he saw how tight our room was with our two small.kids. He even gave us a ride to the station at the end of our stay. We loved this hostel: comfy bunkbeds, nice kitchen and common room for making meals, clean washrooms and showers..

Very cozy place! The host is amazing. He helped us to reserve at 妙立寺 and recommenced so many good food and places to go!

Shuji was an extremely welcoming host, who madr us feel very at home in Kanazawa. The location is ideal for viewing of the traditional neighbourhoods

The guest house was very comfortable and clean. Staff were super friendly, spoke good English and were happy to help recommending restaurants / activities. It was located in one of the tea house areas which was really cool. It was about a 25 minute walk from Kanazawa station or a 10 minute bus ride (can take JR bus which is covered by rail pass). All of the sights we went to were within walking distance from the guest house.

We had a great time at this guesthouse. Shuji was very welcoming and we enjoyed our evenings socialising with him and the other guests. The guesthouse is located in the tea district, so it was very convenient for touring this charming area. Its about a 20 min walk from the train station and 15 min walk from the market. The room was small, but that was fine for our needs as we only needed it for sleeping.
