Staff was so nice

The location of the property is perfect! Very close to the subway and easy to get to! The rooms though need a serious renovation. The curtain in my room was very old, it had holes and needed to be replaced ASAP. There were chipped walls in the room as well. If they fix a couple of things that would be great.

The pictures on the site are nothing like the hotel. The hotel is very old, no balconies, no bar or restaurant, very small basic gym. The rooms are worn out. It is in a great location - super convenient to SOHO, Chinatown, Little Italy. The hotel is supposedly being renovated, none of the new rooms are available.

There was a problem in my room where water leaked out from under the AC unit. The floor was wet and the room smelled sour when I came back in

The hotel is clean, if a bit dated. The staff are nice, and the free bottled water & coffee are much appreciated perks. The property is very well located near the subway, close to unique food & drink, and adjacent to SoHo. (Note: Guests on lower floors might be bothered by traffic noise, so see if higher floors have availability)

Staff was so friendly! Room was okay, no fridge wonky built in’s. Hotel is good if you’re only sleeping and showering there.

Not super clean. Sink drain not totally together didn’t hold water for shaving. Dust behind bed and night stands. Bed comfy and room adequate. Good location for me. I might stay again. Just needs a tune up

Room was kinda icky. Spiders in the shower. Peeling wallpaper. THIN walls. I was woken up all night by neighbors coming and going. Staff was amazing

On a positive note, the staff were kind, welcoming and helpful. The location, as well, was great and very close to the subway. However, we were delayed checking into our room because of a hotel system issue, and therefore had to wait around in the lobby / common area for several hours without any time frame given for when we would be able to check in. Once in the room, it was disappointing. While the view was good, here are some of the issues: the room smelled like old fish, the curtains were a bit broken, the bed slanted like it was slightly broken, the furniture was very worn and not well-kept, the sink in the bathroom moved when you touched it and felt like it was barely staying on the wall, the water pressure in the shower was very low, and there was no fridge in the room. Also the building itself was character-less and felt like an office building that had recently been converted and was not quite ready to open. It is not a hotel that I would return to on my next trip to NYC.
