This is a top tier hotel experience. From the location to the property grounds to the rooms to the restaurants, everything was magnificent. Do yourself a favor and get a balcony room overlooking the lake and waterfall - a once-in-lifetime stay.

Stunning views, waterfalls, lake Brienz, amazing helpful staff. As a family we had an amazing time here for 3 x nights!

A magical place. Difficult to reach by car from Zurich . Transportation from Ferry and train to Intervale would be easier. Sleeping with the sound of waterfalls is unforgettable!

We've just returned from a 2 night stay at the Grandhotel Giessbach and wow, what a place! The hotel is certainly grand and is located in the most beautiful location I've ever seen, overlooking Lake Brienz with the Giessbach falls only metres away! The staff were all very pleasant, the breakfast was great, the bar was lovely, the Les Cascades restaurant was lovely, the surrounding park and trails were truly beautiful! However, my only complaint is that we had to pay 15CHF per night for parking. I think for the price you pay to stay at the hotel, parking should be included for that price

The best way to describe this hotel is: straight out of a fairytale! The view from literally anywhere you look are absolutely spectacular. The hotel is 150 years old but they have done an outstanding job at conserving it authentic and classic look but with some modern and classic touches for comfort. You feel like you are transported in a time-capsule machine to a classic, glamorous and beautiful place. Certainly an experience that I would highly recommend
