We stayed at TRS Cancun for our anniversary and had a wonderful vacation overall. The resort is beautiful, our room was excellent, and we would absolutely return.
The highlight of our stay was our butlers, Jimmy and Benji. They were attentive, professional, and genuinely cared about making our trip special. Anytime we encountered an issue, they stepped in and made it right, even when it wasn't their responsibility.
The spa also deserves recognition. It was extremely well organized, the treatments flowed seamlessly, and my massage therapist was incredibly respectful with draping and hand placement, helping me feel safe and comfortable throughout the experience.
A few areas could be improved. The resort asked about our dietary restrictions before arrival and again at every restaurant, but there were still times they were forgotten, requiring us to repeatedly remind staff. If the information is collected, it should be communicated consistently.
We also occasionally felt that service depended on wristband level rather than treating all guests equally.
Our biggest disappointment was the steakhouse. My husband's medium-rare steak arrived blue and barely looked grilled, my glazed pork resembled a boiled pork chop, and a joke from our server about me not drinking alcohol made the experience uncomfortable. Thankfully, Jimmy and Benji quickly stepped in to make things right.
Overall, we'd gladly return. With a little more consistency, this would easily be a five-star experience.
