Our receptionist was nice but I had to cracked the joke to get smile and rest of our stay I didn't get happy or warm feelings from staff. After checking in, our floor was very confusing and finding room was like going round maze. Room was nice and clean, lots of draws and new bathroom. Still there's more work needed to be done. Windows was stuck so we couldn't close it to shut the noise from seagulls. We got back side of hotel room hoping it will be quite to sleep but on top of car park opposite the hotel seagulls resting place so in the night they are making noises and no point of sleeping. We had breakfast whole 3 days staying but it wasn't nice, as hotel is cheap so I can understand why breakfast is cheap quality, tin boiled mushrooms and baked beans, steamed scrubbed egg, tin fruit and cheap quality cornflakes, I like the amount of choices for breakfast. Staff at breakfast is not kin to clear up the table for new guests to get table. The best thing about the hotel is location and pub and singers We enjoyed the evening listening to programme. I also love the lounge area it makes you feel like you're in old days.

For an overnight stay in a city centre I think £46 is ok. It's clean. Good bathroom. Comfy (ish) bed. Been several times never had my sleep disturbed. Lots moan about it on Reddit and other sites. All I can say to them is have a few nights at the Grand Scarborough. This place is a palace compared

Run down, tired and wholly disappointing. Staff clearly too much to do so no time to attend to visitors needs. Breakfast shambolic, overcrowded and poor quality. Thankfully I was able to be entertained by the wonderful city and chose, after the first day to get up and out early and return late to sleep.

I will call Adelphi my home in Liverpool . I had feel save,cozy , confortable. In a luxurious vintage room .

The room was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed for a city break. Right in the heart of the city, this classic hotel is definitely worth a visit and we will return again next year.

This hotel is one of the most beautiful I have seen. I'm well travelled and have seen a good few. The Adelphi is old, very old. There are signs of age but this gives it even more atmosphere. One pays 3 star rates for a 3 star hotel which presents as a 6 star! Love it and will return.
