This is our favorite place to stay in Portland. Close to everything, great staff, historic building, comfortable bed and pillows. They could improve on the food offerings.

Room was clean. Staff was friendly and the location is incredible.

I stayed here on the front and back end of a trip because of some nightmare travel getting to and from Portland, and while the location is fantastic and the hotel is overall fine — there were a few things that would be good to know as a traveler. - I had arranged for a wake up call for an extremely early flight just in case my alarm didn't go off, and thankfully my alarm worked because the call never came, - There was a dog in the room next to mine, and that dog loved to bark - When I was leaving to make my flight, I had to kind of search around for the desk staff to return the physical key - The four times I had to enter / exit with multiple bags no one even pretended to try to help (I was ready to tip yall!), and staff even stood around watching me take two trips to carry it all - When I walked into the bathroom upon entry to the room there was hair that was not mine on top of the toilet

Loved the place but the AC could not keep up with the heat. Room was 75 degrees.

Highly recommend . The rate dropped a lot and Expedia would do nothing to match it . So search with Expedia but book directly to hotel . I wish I had done that , I would have saved a lot of money by not booking w Expedia . Hotel was great , Expedia was not my friend .
