I recently stayed at Hampton Inn Southcenter in Seattle for three nights, and unfortunately, my experience was mixed.
On the positive side, check-in was smooth and efficient, and I was quickly directed to my room. The bathroom was the highlight of my stay—it was very clean, well-maintained, and the towels were neatly arranged (even though I prefer using my own). The complimentary breakfast was also enjoyable, and the airport shuttle service was reliable and convenient.
However, the room itself was quite disappointing. The mattress, bedding, and seating all felt very old and worn out. The carpet also appeared outdated and not very clean, which affected the overall comfort of the space.
The biggest issue during my stay was the air conditioner, which was not working. The room remained uncomfortably hot, around 78°F, making it difficult to rest—especially during the day. I reported the issue to the front desk on my first day, but I was told maintenance was unavailable at the time. Unfortunately, there was no follow-up, and I was not offered a room change. This made my stay very uncomfortable.
Overall, while there are a few positives like cleanliness in the bathroom, breakfast, and shuttle service, the condition of the room and lack of response to the AC issue made this stay far from satisfactory. I hope improvements are made, especially regarding maintenance and room upgrades.
