we liked this hotel and we are planning to go back pros: onsen, location, and great view cons: some areas required better care or be renewed and you need to pay to use the pool. If you like to drive a bike I believe is a nice place to do it, that actually what I want to do on my next stay, just I believe the food is a bit overpriced compared with other hotels that I have stayed in Japan

Short drive to large shopping mall. Shuttle bus available to nearest JR station to get to Kyoto. Wonderful hospitality from the staff. Outstanding feature was the in room drinking water dispenser; very convenient.

The staff was very helpful especially for checking on whether places were open and on obtaining a taxi. The rooms lack places to put your clothes and lack suitcases stands so one must plan to use the limited supply of hangars and live out of a suitcase. The showers are handheld so one might instead plan to use the open facilities and hot baths. The food was excellent and help is available everywhere.

My stay could have been great if I had not been charged for my fully prepaid stay. Be sure to check your bill and check out at the FRONT DESK before leaving the property. I checked out with the concierge and thought I was all set until I received a Bill for late check out.

Bedroom and washroom were spacious, clean and looked new. Amenities were great. The hotel has a wide range of facilities, including a planetarium, which we really enjoyed. We had a great time.

The property itself was wonderful. We stayed in one of the superior rooms with its own private hot spring bath. The staff were wonderful as well and everything about the hotel was great. What we found though is there really isn’t much to do around the area and not many restaurants that aren’t at the mall. So if you stay here, plan your day to just hang out at the hotel and eat at the hotel. There is a lot to do from the planetarium to renting bikes, to playing tennis and chilling in the baths.
