Room was clean. Staff was helpful. Check in and check out were difficult due to unclear instructions. The actual door was difficult to find and there were no clear instructions on how to enter the property. Staff was available to answer my questions promptly when I called.

This is a nice and quaint hotel just 20 minutes by walking from the train station. The property is clean and well maintained. I believe it is an old Venetian building that has been extensively renovated but still has remnants of the past in the interior. The only feedback I have is that the check in process is a bit confusing since there is no front desk staff. Instead, you have to press a button at the front door to speak to the owner you who lets you in and shows you the place. All in all however the stay there is well worth the price.

Great stay and also a perfect location! A short 11 min walk from Santa Lucia station so pretty accessible. Very centrally location to access shops, restaurants etc.
Had a little trouble entering the property and finding the reception but we tried out luck and Samantha was there to welcome us! It’s the first stairs one the left after you enter :)
The property is very clear and well maintained. Had a lovely experience ❤️

The room is clean but not having AC for 2 nights was miserable! The hotel personnel said there were no other rooms and didn't fix the AC both days.

Large room, comfortable bed, nice staff. The only thing is that room was not tended to, but we didn’t mind too much. We just reused towels. It is a little bit out of the way from tourist locations, which means more walking but also quieter. Overall, it was a decent stay.

Our hotel stay was phenomenal! We were able to easily enter the property despite our late arrival time(10PM). All we had to do was buzz the door and they asked for reservation details and we were buzzed in. They stored our luggage for us as well--so convenient! The room was clean, comfortable, and cozy! They even included drinks such as water, sparkling water, champagne and snacks. 10/10 would rec. It was about a 15 min walk from the closest point a car to drop us and about 10 mins to the train station.

Everything was great and it’s in the perfect location. Just wish the AC got a little colder and didn’t have to restart it every time you came back to the room

As soon as we arrived at Antico Portego, Samantha greeted us and even let us hold our luggage in the hotel office so that we could explore Venice. She also hurried to clean our room so that we were able to check in an hour early. The room was very chic and clean. The AC worked great. The room was in a great location in Venice- I would highly recommend this hotel to a friend!
