From check in to check out this was a spectacular experience. Miguel was at the desk when we got there. He was speedy checking us in and didn't make us wait until 3 because our room was ready. We had a 2 bed with private bathroom and it was very spacious. The showers were excellent. High pressure and always hot. Seeing the turtles walk around the lobby was a cute touch. In the morning we would go upstairs and have free coffee and sit on the terrace. It's such an old school feel, like you are in a Mexican grandmother's home. It's beautiful. People were respectful of the shared fridge and we never worked about anyone stealing our messing with our items. The location is perfect, right off the pier. There are plenty of areas to shop, site see and go eat. Miguel gave us great recommendations for everything and also set us up on a great snorkel tour for a wonderful price. I can't say enough good things about this place.

Great place or the price. Air conditioner worked well, clean and quiet place to stay.

I love the location and atmosphere. For the price, it is the best bargain in Cozumel.

Comfortable, spacious room and a great location. Quiet at night although the staff can be noisy when they arrive (early) in the morning. That said, it's a great choice.

Hotel Mary Carmen is a beautiful hotel which exceeded our expectations! Location is safe, quiet, very walkable (5min from the ferries, 1min from the plaza), and easy to find upon arrival. We loved the old-fashioned style with shared living spaces, and the garden and turtles. We appreciated the free water refill jugs on each floor and the first aid kits free for use. Our room was large (we got a free upgrade) and clean, had great wifi, quiet and functional AC unit, tidy bathroom, and good water pressure. There were extra blankets too, and hooks for hammocks if you have one. We had a little trail of ants along the wall, but they stayed on their path and never bothered us at all. Around 8am it became a bit noisy since we were right beside the breakfast kitchen, but otherwise it was always quiet. Breakfast was lovely in a dining room and patio, with pancakes, omelettes, toast, fruits, cereal, milk, juice, coffee, and tea. The kind man at the front reception (Miguel) was amazing, and provided help with booking a great snorkel tour, confirming taxi prices, recommending local beaches based on our interests, finding a solution for our faulty in-room safe, and providing free beach towels every day. Overall we loved the safe location and authentic feel of the hotel, and would absolutely stay again.

Room was clean, location to shops and restaurants and a/c was cold!

Nice little hotel. Close to all my favorite restaurants. Staff is great. Wi-fi was a mess this trip. It’s usually fine.
