The room was fine. Everything was pretty clean. The staff member when I checked in was extremely rude. She asked for my payment card and when I told her the room was already paid for, she sighed at another staff member and rolled her eyes, then said she needed a card for incidentals. She should have said that from the start instead of asking for a payment card as if she was charging for the room again. She proceeded to ask every question she could think of to “confirm” my reservation when she already had my license, then couldn’t keep up to input information which should have already been on the screen in front of her. She gave us a hard time for no reason. She obviously doesn’t know how to do her job and should not be in any customer service position.

Room was clean and very quiet and comfortable! The staff were all friendly and so helpful! Centrally located to all of the things we were interested in seeing!

Great location. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. The property, however, was a bit subpar. We found stains on nearly all of the sheets & covers. They appeared to be "clean" but well-stained. This was reported to the staff during out stay. The headboard had grime across it, bathroom had a lot of dust in the vents, and the lobby had a quite unpleasant smell. The bed was pretty average and would benefit from extra pillows. We also got double-charged for parking (the fact that they charge $5 for parking in a large lot away from any attractions is a little insulting, but we did know that going in). We were able to get the incorrect charge corrected quickly at the front desk, but be sure to double to check before leaving. It's also quite annoying that WiFi access ends as soon as you checkout, so plan accordingly. It's that kind of pointless cost-cutting that so unnecessarily can hurt loyalty. Overall, it's a fine stay. Not quite a premium Hilton and one that has seen better days. But the staff is friendly, the amenities are quite good, and the location is convenient. If they do a refurb, it could be an excellent stay.

We were extremely please with everything at the hotel. However, I did have a problem with their choice of laundry detergent for the sheets/pillowcases as I'm extremely sensitive and did find these to create a rash across the top of my shoulders/neck where my nightgown did not cover. This problem was not addressed with management as I recognize it is MY problem, not their's -- my partner was not affected. That being said, I will say throughout all of my Hilton stays--these were the roughest feeling linens I've ever noticed. Usually, a Hilton is luxury--not the case here. BUT all else was top notch as usual. From now on--I'll take my own linens to cover where I sleep and make sure I'm not affected again, no matter the hotel brand--which, if a choice--is Hilton.

We enjoy staying here each time we come to Charleston. Clean, quiet, and very friendly staff. I don’t recall his name, perhaps Jermaine? But he’s the evening desk clerk and is always friendly and helpful.

I had to cancel my stay and I had travel protection and Hitlon Garden in Mt Pleasant SC they made the decision to keep my funds. I submitted all documents and still Hilton Garden decided to keep my hotel funds. The hotel was price well and located close to where sites I wanted to see. But, people need to be aware if you stays at the Hilton Garden in Mt Pleasant SC and if you have travel protection insurance, they can keep your funds if you cancel. Expedia couldn’t get them to change their decision. If the airlines give alerts about weather conditions, in my situation, severe thunderstorms with tornado warning, what people in their right minds will fly. I think this is awful when I cancelled within 24 hrs of the airlines alert and they kept my funds. HITLON GARDEN NEEDS TO PUT THEIR POLICY OF CANCELLATION UPFRONT SO GUESS CAN KNOW UPFRONT. WE WILL KEEP YOUR FUNDS IF YOU CANCEL YOUR RESERVATION. If Hilton Garden doesn't offer free breakfast, it was their location to the bridge to get to local sites. The reviews I look at did raise concerns about comfort and rude staff, but it was not a major concern.
