Comfortable stay, ice was located in the basement. But felt safe as a solo traveler staying there.

Bad choice. I inadvertently booked one night too many and they refused to refund the extra night. It did say no refunds so I accepted that. We arrived and again attempted a refund the front desk clerk didn't even show any concern for the issue. Oh well, no big deal, But here is the big deal: It's an old hotel. Room is tiny as is the bed. Couldn't get a king at all. Lighting was horrible, morning light crept in through all the cracks in the shades One elevator out of 2 was broken. We checked out the next day and went to a Marriott. I guess we got what we paid for. I don't recommend it unless you don't mind being uncomfortable.

Negatives: Given a room with a view of a brick wall 2 ft from the windows. TV cable service kept cutting out. Shower stall leaked a large amount of water into the bathroom even when curtain completely closed. Only one of two elevators in service. Hotel in serious need of renovations. Noisy A/C with only one fan speed. Positives: great central location within walking distance of the Mall; interesting architecture of this historical building; decent price given its location.

Do not stay there! I was asked to add a credit card on file for incidental ($150) and the hotel charged me the full amount even though I did break anything! On top of it when I called the front desk they ensured me that the money was refunded in my bank account, which actually did not happen! Very dishonest!

I had read the mixed reviews of this place and was a little hesitant in staying here. But for the price, I had to see for myself. The building is old but it gives it character. When I checked in the woman at the front desk was extremely pleasant. She offered to hold my bags while I waited for my room to be ready. Not many amenities in the sitting area. It kind of reminded me of a household living room. Unfortunately, there weren’t any outlets near where I could plug in my laptop to work. Once my room was ready, I headed upstairs. The elevator is small and I did have some nerves about it breaking. The hallways are tiny. My room was very clean, had a lot of window. The air conditioner worked well, but it was very loud. The bed was super hard and the pillows were not great. Very flat but I had four for myself so it was manageable. Good amount of outlets and a desk where I could work. Overall my stay was pleasant. The price and the location and were ideal. I would probably stay here again.

I got lost looking for a parking spot bc this hotel is to cheap to offer parking. After 3 HOURS of driving in circles and TRYING to get someone on the phone which they NEVER answered I was able to get a lil bit of help- directions on where to go. Then they decided to penalize me with a late check in fee. And let’s not forget that I called EXPEDIA and 2… not one but TWO representatives couldn’t get a hold of anyone either. But hey I not only got all this but now NO food was able to be delivered. I’m over this place. It’s a crapshoot of a hotel

Easy Check in and Check out. Staff was very nice and open to answering any of my questions. The room was clean and the bed was comfy. All in all, a great trip and would stay here again. Also the location was amazing

The room was extremely small literally a bed and a bathroom no windows the smallest TV in the world. Not worth the price.

1 elevator was down over all was happy with the room was clean good location to monuments.

Good staff, rooms cleaned nicely. Great price for the area. On the downside , TV was spotty with reception, coffee station has powered creamer. Sorry but at least have small liquid self serve pods. Only one elevator worked and it didn’t even sync properly with the floors. So I went to floor six but it said five. Minor issues but easy enough to fix or update. These should be addressed and not left alone just because it’s an old hotel with a good price. Would I stay there again…. Yes because I can get coffee somewhere else the elevator midsummer I can figure out and the TV is only a convenience for a small amount of time in the room at morning and night. Bottom line great location and great price for the area
