Love the trolley to Universal! Huge perk! Beautiful property with fun vibe with clean rooms! The traffic noise is loud & the AC unit in our room sound as loud as a rocketship (it did help lessen the traffic noise). The Front Yard is sub-par - not kid friendly and the breakfast bar is overpriced for lame options.

The vibe here is amazing! Charming, clean and fantastic staff. The expedia site is incorrect when it says "soundproofed rooms". I stayed on the quiet side of the property and could hear everything outside of my door in the hallway. I think it's meant to say there is some noise reduction (maybe through windows) on the freeway side. The pool was always filled with families and lots of children, which is great for families, not so much for a romantic get away. I would recommend the Garland start a couple of adult only hours in the pool. There is an adult hot tub, adjacent to the kids hot tub. I was really looking forward to relaxing at the pool but the vibe was high energy all day and night both days. hey play kids movies at the pool at night. The bar next to the pool was great, and had plenty of food to order. The restaurant is great, my reservation was seated very late so we had to wait awhile but the service was nice, the ambiance is wonderful and the food was alright. Worth the vibe on the patio.

We had a great stay at The Garland Hotel in Burbank. The hotel has a unique retro California vibe that makes it feel fun and relaxing. The pool and outdoor areas were beautiful, and the staff was friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. We also loved the convenient location—it was easy to get to Universal Studios and other nearby attractions, while still feeling like a peaceful getaway. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a family stay. The only minor downside was that parking came with an additional fee, but it didn’t take away from the overall experience. We’d definitely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

Just ok, overpriced, have to pay $50 daily parking. Rooms were just ok, i expected better for the price.

OVERPRICED, and the mentality of upscale, and SO NOT DESERVING, seriously the staff is so snobby its ridiculous, they answer questions with a sigh like Dont you already know the answer, And the restaurant servers are worse, You cant substitute or modify your order, so if your allergic to something dont eat there and be happy with what they serve, thats it 😡

Perfect if your visiting Universal. Location is great.

The property was beautiful. The Dive in Movies each night was a blast and the food was delish.

Really unique and cool hotel

The hotel property is really nice considering where it’s located. Location is safe but meaning it’s on a good amount of property and it’s really well maintained and very unique. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. The amenities are super nice. The room was clean and comfortable and had a balcony. My only complaint which is not the hotels fault and is just the way things are there is the water quality and pressure. I do understand the water situation in La though. Honestly the shower water smelled a bit like sewage or it just had a bad smell. Again I don’t think there’s anything the hotel could do about the quality of city water. I didn’t use the trolly service but with families taking their kids to Universal it’s a great feature. We did some Ubering to places we wanted to go and we were spending time with local friends so they also did a lot of nice things with us in taking us around. I do recommend the hotel and would absolutely stay there again if visiting that area of the city.
