The hotel boasts a water park, no mention that it’s out of service and won’t be fixed anytime soon.

We enjoyed this resort overall. A little disappointed in the shape of some of the amenities. Very old volleyballs, basketballs on the court were nearly flat. The restaurant/bar on site was not always open at the times listed it was supposed to be. Rooms are pretty outdated. Food and drinks were good. We enjoyed the pools and the water activities available!

The room was clean, but we had no heat in the room and froze all night long. The phone provided in the room did not work, so we could not call the front desk or housekeeping. I notified them that the one of the hallway doors that lead outside was not secure. It was still not fixed in the morning.

Great place for a weekend family get away! Both pools are beautiful and the marina and beach are amazing! Such a fun place for the whole family

I stayed at this resort a few years back and thought maybe they would take care of the place better so gave it another try. The only thing that changed was it got worse. The geese problem is still not solved . Watch where you walk cause there’s poop every where, they ruin the nice sandy beech and we’re right by the fire pit . We wanted to have a nice supper but it was the worst food I’ve ever been served . Ordered a 6 ounce filet for 39.00 medium and it was about a 1/2 inch thick cooked well done and you could barely cut it , the vegetables were soggy and the only thing edible was the garlic mashed potatoes.If you stay there don’t eat at the restaurant. The room was clean and had a nice lake view but the sink leaked water and we had to put a garbage can under it so the floor wouldn’t get wet . Needless to say I will never be going back to stay .

I dont normally write reviews but this one i had to. This is a very dated property. The staff is not trained correctly to service the guests, the area where the non-motorized equipment was was completely filled with goose poop. It is an easy fix but it was disgusting. The worker just stepped on it like no big deal. A little raking would go a long way. Food in restaurants was good. Bartenders need to get some training. Had a mojito and it was so limey that we couldn't drink it. You can't make a mojito with Chi Chi's mix. Not good at all. I would recommend this property if they could do some updates and cleaning the common areas. The pool area was a mess the next morning. No one cleaned up the towels and discarded food and wrappers. The beach is a long ways away from the property but was well maintained as far as I could see. If you decide on this property know it is not an up to date property but with a little TLC it could be really good.

It’s a great place and really appreciate the awesome location on Lake Darling!

Beautiful property outside but but tons of geese so lots of poop. Tiny gnats in the rooms (in the bathroom) everyday also by the ice machine. Trash not picked up in hallways. Some staff did not understand English but tried to be helpful. Found that to be frustrating. Alexandria pretty town, lots of lakes and restaurants.

Wish I could have spent more time on the grounds, but other events took us off site.

The outside pool was nice and well maintained. We stayed 2 nights. Had no housekeeping. There was a dirty towel hanging up in our bathroom. TV and phone didn't work upon arrival. TV was fixed quickly. Phone was not addressed. Decor is outdated. Hot tub didn't have enough water. Not able to use properly. Staff was friendly.
