There are a lot of trails to choose from in Taroko National Park, each with its own characteristics and beautiful scenery. What we introduce today is something that even novices can control - “Xiaolu Dangdang” (named by UNIQUEFUN privately), Xiaozuilu & Shakadang
Xiaozuilu Trail
- Xiaozuilu is at the east entrance of Shakadang Tunnel *It is called this name because you can enjoy the terrain similar to Zuilu Cliff at the east end entrance
- But it’s definitely more than that. Here you can overlook the archway of the east-west section of the highway.
- You can also enjoy the valley downstream of Liwu River and the Jinwen Bridge on the stream
- Another feature of the Xiaozuilu Trail is the two completely different valley suspension bridges
- "Exploration Suspension Bridge" and "Plank Suspension Bridge", the former is made of knotted ropes
- **Limited to 5 people, and the latter is 20 people. Here you have to walk two lines at a time! **
Shakateng Trail
- The original name of Shakadang Trail is "Mysterious Valley Trail"
- However, in the upper reaches of Shakadong River, there is a well-known Taroko tribe-"Datong Tribe"
- Because the tribe’s old name was “Skadang”, the name of the trail has been adopted.
- This trail was built at the end of the Japanese colonial period and was originally used to repair dams and large water pipes *After some reorganization, it is now open to tourists.
- It also gives everyone the opportunity to see the canyon landscape and rich natural ecology along the way
- The ecological environment of Shakadang Trail is very rich
- The terrain of river valleys and rock walls allows the plants here to be divided into dry and wet types, giving each section of the road a different scenery.
- It looks like a fern-like rock wall, or a group of banyan trees. The most amazing thing is the "big folds" on the rock wall, which are like layers of layered cakes.
