S Resort El Nido

"My daughter walked in, went straight to the window, and just stood there. I gave her about thirty seconds before I joined her. El Nido Bay, right there, limestone cliffs in the distance, boats moving across the water. Neither of us said anything for a bit. The location is the thing. Seventy metres to the beach. Five minutes to the tour loading point. Restaurants and shops literally downstairs. After a full day on the water, walking back to your room in five minutes without needing a tuk-tuk is a bigger deal than it sounds. Reception helped us plan four days of island hopping. Not one bad day. He knew which tours had fewer crowds, which guides were worth asking for by name, and he never once pushed us toward the expensive option. That kind of honest advice is rarer than it should be. The rooftop is worth going up for even if you’re not eating. The view of the bay from up there, especially around sunset, is the best free thing the hotel offers. GG the hotel dog usually finds you in the lobby on the way up. She’s very soft and completely unhelpful if you’re trying to be on time for anything. One thing to know: the hotel is on the main street, so it gets noisy at night. Ear plugs help. Ask for a higher floor if you’re a light sleeper."

The staff was so friendly, the food was great and the beach was perfect. Our villa was beautiful and we just enjoyed our stay.

Last day upgraded our room and we had no hot water and brought it their attention…. I they said was sorry no compensation.. location was great.. the front desk was more than nice

"The front desk told us about a small beach that isn’t on any standard itinerary. That’s what a good staff recommendation can do, and it’s the kind of thing you won’t find on any booking website. Rooftop breakfast with the whole bay spread out in front of you. My son thought it would be funny to take photos of me eating to document the moment. I told him to stop. He didn’t. But I really like that photo. The room can fit an extra bed, though the spring frame wasn’t the most comfortable. Next time I’d probably just book two rooms instead."

There’s so much to like about S Resort El Nido! The room was spacious, the bed was super comfortable, the shower was perfect (very spacious, great shower heads and water pressure). We had a top of the range hair dryer & kettle, with a mini fridge, a TV with netflix, a drying rack on the balcony, and our rooms were cleaned and tidied every day. The staff were extremely accomodating and welcoming! We always received a warm welcome and were always offered assistance with anything we needed. I would highly recommend S Resort in El Nido!
