Truss Hotel Times Square

We’ve stayed here before and it’s not a bad deal considering the rooms are significantly larger than most other NYC hotel rooms! The main reason I couldn’t rate higher than 4 stars was for the following reasons… -check in is 4pm, we arrived at 4pm on the nose, we had tickets to Les Mis 40th anniversary concert at Radio City Music Hall and wanted to get there as soon as they opened the doors at 6:30. We needed to shower and get dressed but we had a delay because the front desk didn’t have a room available so we had to wait for housekeeping to finish the room. It wasn’t long, but it was enough to make us anxious on our special night. -the maintenance crew has a good amount of details to work on like screws missing on light fixtures and the thermostat that fell off the wall, paint touch ups, scratches in the ceiling wallpaper, and other things like that -whether it’s maintenance or a contractor (I don’t care) but someone PLEASE get the windows washed. They’re absolutely filthy on the outside The front desk employee (Luz) wasn’t rude, but she didn’t offer an apology or anything. She just said that we had to wait. Of course It’s not her fault, but she could have done something to ameliorate the situation. Overall, we’d plan a future stay at Truss. But next time we’re on a schedule, I’ll know to call ahead and ask for a room to be ready for our arrival at 4pm.

They let us check-in early, as soon as the room was ready. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. The hotel location was great, not too far from Times Square by foot. We will book again on our next trip to NYC.

I found that the online photographs of both the overall hotel and the guest rooms did not accurately reflect the actual condition of the property. The current state of the facilities and accommodations fell short of the expectations set by the images provided online.

Overall a decent property, nothing luxurious. I did not have any of the bad experiences mentioned in other reviews. The property is outdated but was clean, cool and we slept soundly each night.

We were greeted with a smile and a helpful attitude. The rooms were very roomy-clean and comfortable. Great location for what we needed.

Our stay was great! Jess at the front desk was very helpful! She was able to accommodate an early check in and was super friendly. She is truly amazing and very personable. We were also able to store our bags before check in for a small fee. Staff was overall very friendly and accommodating. The room was spacious and peaceful. Shower had great water pressure! Perfect location for walking to Times Square and Madison Square Garden. We would definitely stay again.

Hotel was very clean and a good area from time square. About a 10 min walk. The staff was very helpful and welcoming upon arrival and departure. Very kind and always spoke when either coming or going. Room was pretty big considering it was NY and the room smelled very nice when we came in and was cleaned everytime. Definitely would recommend staying here and there are plenty of places to eat around the hotel and a corner store as well. The hotel staff also provided water upon arrival and durning stay. Definitely a 10/10 stay!! If I come visit again I will be staying here!

Room very comfortable with a great bed, the stafff are so friendly .

Nice clean. efficiency run place, conveniently located, quiet, hot shower, comfortable beds. Expensive parking (NYC rates!) nearby.

The location of the Truss is excellent. The staff is superb.
