Room was very clean and the hotel was very fun to walk around

Overall, the experience was good. The facility was clean and had a lot more charm than newer, sterile hotels. We experienced a power outage that lasted for a few hours but was eventually corrected. We thought our luggage was going to be brought up to our room, but after 45 minutes, we went back to the lobby to find our luggage exactly where we left it. We brought it up ourselves. Other than that, a good stay.

The character of this hotel made you smile from the second you walked into the door. The staff was very sweet and helpful. We can’t wait to stay here again.

The Staff is always super helpful. I end up getting called to work and leaving late. They allow me to check-in late and make it so smooth! Half the time, I'm half asleep trying to check-in. I always appreciate it!!!

The look

We really loved this hotel! The bed was comfortable, though the pillows weren't very supportive. I was glad I had brought my own pillow. The room is plenty spacious--there was a comfy loveseat, coffee table, desk and desk chair. The mini fridge was far enough away from the sleeping area and in its own cubby that I couldn't hear it when I was sleeping. I really hate when the mini fridge is right in front of the bed and it's so loud that it wakes me up when it goes off and on. I loved the decor of the hotel too. It was conveniently located near the freeway but we were on the street side of the building so we never heard freeway traffic. The street side wasn't too noisy either. It is near several food places--very walkable, and across the street from Costco. Great location! If I am ever in the area, I will definitely come back to this hotel.

Not as expected

I was not happy with my stay as I was told it was near the beach. I asked the hotel if I could cancel my remaining nights. They agreed and were on a call with Expedia. I was told I would be billed for the one night. I was out by 8 am the next morning and moved to a hotel near the beach. I was told I would receive a refund from Both the hotel and Expedia customer service. I never received my refund. What a joke.
