The hotel is about a 14-minute walk from Ikebukuro Station. It doesn't sound far, but after walking 30k steps a day, it definitely feels like it. The lobby looks nice, but room 1535 was dated and not very clean. The window tracks were dusty, the carpet looked like it needed a deep clean, and the AC barely worked. There was also stain on the lower half of the shower curtain. We asked to switch rooms, but the hotel was full, so housekeeping replaced the curtain and brought us a fan instead. The walls are also very thin—we could hear people walking and talking outside the room. The only positives were the easy automated check-in/check-out, the attached Family Mart, the onsite washers and dryers, and the airport bus stops at the hotel, which were really convenient. It didn't feel like a 4-star hotel. The rooms need much better maintenance and cleanliness. I would not come back to this hotel.

Being attached to a shopping mall made for convenient shopping and dining choices. Having a Family Mart on the ground floor was nice too. Ikebukuro Station is neither convenient nor inconvenient. It’s about a 15 minute walk.

Great hotel, attached to sunshine city mall and also has its own family Mart inside the hotel which is 24 hour. Heaps of shopping, dining and entertainment close by!

Although the hotel is a little far from the train station, it is very convenient due to its location inside a large shopping mall. The room cleanliness could be improved, and the rooms feel somewhat dated. The soundproofing is also not very good. Overall, this stay was still okay.

This was our second stay. The room was a good size and well designed so we had ample room for our suitcases. The bed was very comfortable. It has lots of restaurants and is connected to Sunshine which is great. This hotel runs hot and this trip was the same, so they brought us a floor fan which helped a lot. This is a very beautiful hotel but the location just is really inconvenient. It takes almost 20 minutes to walk to the train station.

They don't speak English at all. The staff doesn't work well together, so the dinner reservation (very limited, controlled time) and menu got messed up, and they charged us for a more expensive dish. There are 3 hidden fees to pay when checking out.
