Phoenix Hotel

Clean room, perfectly fine for 1 night stay as a solo traveller. There were 2 fans in the room so I slept fine despite the heatwave.

Lovely hotel in a prime location. Staff were very helpful and accommodating. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was really nice with a wide range of tastes catered for

I arrived to my room on a sunny day to find a broken fan. I quickly called reception but proceeded to sweat for 30 mins as I kept waiting and calling for a replacement. Later, it took almost two hours to receive a iron once again after repeated asks. Then, on both Saturday and Sunday mornings I was woken up by the housekeeping with a knock on the door to clean the room at 9am. The hotel uses single use plastics and provided body wash containers which were way too small. Breakfast was inedible. Location was convenient and central.

This is my 5th stay at the Phoenix. Can’t beat the location!

It is a nice hotel. But no A/C in the rooms is difficult on a humid summer's day. They didn't even put a blanket on the bed because it would not be used.

A good 3 star hotel which I would recommend to anyone visiting London.

Horrible. Do not stay here. No air conditioning and they didn't even give us water in 98 degrees Fahrenheit /37 degrees Celsius heat! Absolutely miserable. We were not able to sleep at all because of how hot it was and we got sick because of it. This ruined the rest of our vacation. If they do not have air conditioning accommodations, they need to make that abundantly apparent on their Expedia profile. Do not stay here if you want to have a comfortable stay. The room itself and the bathroom are TINY and you cannot even walk in the bathroom. The exhaust in the bathroom also did not work which made the heat ten times worse. The breakfast was also bad and there is no hot food. Only cold pieces of bread and cheese. They also yell at you if you have more than one cup of coffee and say you cannot come in for breakfast if you already went down to get a singular cup of coffee. I will have nightmares about this place.

The Phoenix is normally a very nice central hotel with adequate rooms. In a heat wave it is unliveable as there is no air conditioning in the rooms.

Phoenix Hotel was wonderful. We will stay here the next time we come to London. Location was perfect. Close to Bayswater subway station and lots of restaurants and little grocery. The breakfast was great. We were very happy with our stay and can’t wait to go back.
