Minunat

I like the bed, shower, room setup and decoration. All was good except that the water in the sink went down very slowly and the basement room was a bit chilly and humid. Ok for temperature around 15deg but not sure whether the heater will be good enough in colder weather. The location is convenient but can hear noises on the street though.

Wonderful hotel in a nice safe location, staff very friendly and helpful, clean spacious rooms, comfortable bed, easy access for exploring York and its wonderful history. Had a great stay and will be back in the future

Absolutely loved staying here, all the staff were lovely , really friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and had everything we needed, we especially loved sitting in the bay window watching the world go by. The hotel was situated in the perfect place 2 minutes from the river , 7mins from the centre and the street was lovely and quiet at night, we came in the train and it was a 10 minute walk from there so perfect all round. We will definitely return 😀

We always enjoy staying at this lovely York hotel. Excellent location, clean and well decorated rooms and and all at a very reasonable price. Lovely warm welcome from reception staff and overall a great stay.

Great location and friendly staff. Small hotel. We stayed in the attic suite. Great but please keep in mind it’s quite a climb on a small staircase to get there. Second time staying at this gem.

Positives - Good location for York; great showers and comfortable bed. Negatives - only breakfast option is continental breakfast served in room, though room facilities to do this minimal. No communal space for a drink etc other than a small unwelcoming area between the front door and the reception hatch, which offered a very small range of self serve drinks. More a place to sleep than a place to stay.
