We were greeted by very nice staff who were able to speak English which is always nice since we are still learning Portuguese. They were all captivated with our puppy and were excited to have us there. Everyone was very helpful. But then to my surprise we were given a free upgrade to a suite. The suite was very nice and it was nice to have so much room with the puppy. After checking in room staff brought a dog bed, a little bowl, and a bone. That was such a special thoughtful service. There is also food places nearby. We had pizza at a little place that we walked to in town center. We enjoyed the place so much we will be using it again this week.

Bon rapport qualité-prix. Le staff est très sympathique et s'exprime en plusieurs langue dont le français, ce qui etait très apprecié. Le dejeuner est delicieux et le choix est très varié. L'emplacement est un peu loin des attraits touristiques mais il est possible de s'y deplacer à pied quand même. Le stationnement est un veritable plus.

The staff were very good in the breakfast room, Carolina was very pleasant and cheerful and always willing to be helpful, Phillipe was trying hard with his English a very nice young man. The breakfast room was very cold, air conditioning was on full blast so that when we got to our table with the warm breakfast it was cold. We paid extra to be in a river view room, this was a mistake as it was on the cold side of the hotel it didn't get any sun coming into the room through the day , when we came back to the room after being in the warm sunshine the room was very very cold, the Aircon was set for Summertime so no heat in the room. We told the reception about this and the Lady said it could not be changed and that we could have some extra blankets if we wanted them. but this would not help the atmosphere in the room. We had brought HOT WATER BOTTLES with us so that helped when we were in bed. We had booked for nine nights but had to leave after five nights as my wife caught a chill.

Very good location for shopping areas and nearby sights. Room was a good size & basic. We had to checkout prior to breakfast and a boxed breakfast was provided. There was a self storage room for luggage but it is difficult to get to up a couple of steps. There wasn’t anyone to help with luggage at reception that we could see. Staff seemed distracted but provided needed info.
