The AC was supposedly on but they claimed it was not strong enough to combat the heat wave. They have no intention of upgrading it and their solution was to open windows, use fans, or put ice packs on you. It’s not sustainable for staying here in summer as France is always going to be hot. It was very uncomfortable to sleep in at night due to the hot rooms. It was a cute well maintained hotel but the advertising of AC online needs to be adjusted because I would have selected another hotel. Polite staff but heat conditions really impacted the comfort of our stay.

Booked due to needing a hotel with parking for the night. The parking and location were both good. The hotel was very basic but the biggest issue was that the air conditioning in our room was awful. The air con was on but there was no cool air coming into the room. The room was too hot to sleep in. We opened the window during the middle of the night, which helped slightly, but it didn’t feel massively safe to sleep with the window open. This made the experience poor for us.

Outwardly this is a very nice hotel with great car parking. Clean and well maintained. We stopped here en-route to Le Shuttle and really enjoyed visiting Amboise. We noted right away that the air conditioning was weak and this was an issue given the high ambient temperatures. I spoke to staff and nothing could be done. As a result, we had an uncomfortable night to say the least. Room 211. Breakfast was nice. The hotel is a short walk from Amboise itself. We booked the hotel on the basis that it was air conditioned.

Great breakfast. Well equipped room. Drank wine on a deck in the back yard. Is a 15 minute walk from from center of town. Would stay there again.
