Holiday Inn Express & Suites Elk Grove West I-5 by IHG

TV worked intermittently. Called the front desk to get it checked. Was told the manager would call me back, never did. Shower water pressure was weak and the “hot” water never got above lukewarm. Lobby/Breakfast area was like a sauna, made eating breakfast uncomfortable.

Everything was great except breakfast was not as advertised, eggs cold and dry, biscuits over cooked, wished they had waffles as pancakes very flat. Other then that room very comfortable and clean.

Stay in the hotel for five days, but the room was only cleaned once. Kept going down to the front desk, asked for the room to be cleaned and it didn’t happen. I had to keep going down and getting my own towels. There was no management on staff to address the issue. Staff was unable to address the problem, or put me in touch with management. I tried to reach out to IHG for help to no avail. The best they were able to do was forward my call back to the same hotel! I was assured the hotel management would contact me, but it’s been 48 hours and that hasn’t happened either. I can’t imagine what would happen if there was a serious issue on the property. In my opinion, these practices are unsafe both for the guests and the staff. Horrible property, stay away!!!

The staff continually failed to clean our room, even after multiple requests to have the room cleaned. They keep no management on staff on the weekends, so there was no one to resolve the issue when we went to check out. Calls to IHG for help, resulted in multiple hours of wasted time, endless holds, forwarded calls back to the hotel, where there was no management, and no resolution of the problem. No one has reached out from the hotel, even though I was assured that someone would. Additionally, there was little hot water, a broken hot tub, and a pool, the size of a hot tub. I would not send my mother-in-law to this hotel.
