Motel 6 Elizabeth, NJ - Newark Liberty Intl Airport

Horrible service, horrible rooms, the room stinks of cigarettes, the bed dirty! Pillow stained yellow, there's no place to park the car, the attendant treats you like trash, rude and still laughs at your face

The only convenience was the proxemity to the airport.

For a last minute booking, I just needed the room to sleep in but it was the most dirtiest room I’ve ever stayed in. Sheets weren’t clean, poop stains on the toilet seat, toilet seat wasn’t secured so it kept moving. Hair everywhere and also found a bug on the floor.. I’d spend $20 to stay here again not $120! Spend your money elsewhere!

Poor ac, no breakfast

Looks like this hotel provides rooms for homeless people. The people walking around look homeless. The outside was unmaintained and dirty. The room had broken furniture, dirty floors, and a disgusting bathroom. Choose any other motel located next door and nearby.

There were rats on the false roof of the rooms. Air conditioning old with mold.

Clean room, was hard to get extra towels but eventually got them

The pictures look absolutely nothing like the property. Rooms were small, not in good condition. Floor is a hard surface floor and had soft spots in several places, maybe the foundation is giving way? Room had no towels. Bathrooms are tiny, if you are a large person this will be an issue. Area felt very unsafe, both times we left the room we were followed by other people in the motel area... if you were a single woman I would absolutely not stay here. Had pizza delivered, and was warned by the pizza driver not to open the door for anybody. Middle of the night people started honking horns and playing loud car stereos. The parking situation is terrible, cars get blocked in. Motel appears to be selling some of their parking spaces for long term parking or possibly to a nearby used car lot which makes the situation worse. The rooms had a musty vaguely cigarette smoky smell as well. As soon as I opened the door and smelled the room, plus my general unease, I immediately began looking for an alternate place to stay. Unfortunately everything everywhere was sold out. But I was willing to lose the cost of this room and pay twice as much to stay anywhere else nearby. I would avoid this property if at all possible. Airport/hotel shuttle driver was rude, appeared not to speak any english and got extremely upset if your tip wasn't up to whatever amount he felt he deserved.

This place was a dump. Severe marijuana smell in the room. The room needs major renovations. It’s hard to describe how awful this place was. Price was extremely high due to FIFA being in town. This has to be the biggest ripoff I have ever encountered.

To add , the staff is great and tried helping us a lot. They even had the property sprayed to ensure we feel the least possible comfort. They even got us pickup and early drop even though I was grumpy with them. However, this is the worst property that there could be. It smelled everywhere, I couldn't poop, I couldn't even bath well. It was the worst experience ever. I can't go into detail, but expedia shouldn't have such a place on their list as an option even. I have gone to several motel 6 and super 8s but none was like this. This property needs full renovation.
