Fantastic
The location is fantastic. Very accessible to the CTA, the Riverwalk, and on the magnificent mile. The rooms were quiet and the beds super comfortable. I particularly liked the large bathroom with counter space and the rain shower.

Fantastic
magnificent stay at the state residence. it’s like home away from home. for a solo traveler, this room is huge. it has big living room with comfy couch and TV, dining room, big kitchen, big bathroom with big bathtub in the middle. I had a nice bubble bath with hot water after that first day of lollapalooza. I slept soundly and woke up feeling so relax the following day. the shower room has four shower heads. I used them all. the scent of the shampoo/conditioner/bath gel was first class and they worked well. wall tiles and color were pleasing to the eyes. well lit. the bedroom was great. good size with TV. but the greatest of all about this room is the view day and night. amazing. ❤️. btw, chicago riverwalk is just across the street. I went jogging/walking at 6am.

Fantastic
The room was clean and the perfect location to watch the river get dyed. Because we were there for St Patricks Day, the elevators were a huge problem to get down from our room so ended up taking the stairs. This is not the hotels fault by any means. There is a small restaurant and bar. We only got drinks from there. The decor was great and we were so comfy in our bed. I would definitely stay here again!!

Fantastic
Stayed solo for 3 nights Juneteenth weekend. I arrived early and was able to check in to a double room with a better view. There is a restaurant downstairs which I didn’t get to try. Gym was nice. Room was spotless. The area is a little sketchy at night. Location is central to everything. I would definitely stay here again.

The room was fine, but the shower was terrible—multiple inches of water building up within a minute of turning it on (and not completely draining for hours). We asked the front desk for help several times but nothing was done. At these prices, travelers should not have to put up with problems like this. I would recommend staying elsewhere.

Fantastic
The hotel was perfect! The view of the river was the best part. Location is everything!! We walked everywhere and took the subway, Lyft, taxi or the shuttle Nike Nationals for EYBL to get around. We love Choc and I will book here again next year through Expedia.

We checked in at 11pm & the staff member was so helpful by providing pamphlets for food, map of the city & suggested the First Lady architectural boat cruise, which was fabulous. Our room was clean & spacious. We enjoyed a drink the Hotel restaurant Hoyt. The staff was very kind & helpful. Would stay at this location on 71 Wacker, very central to everything. We learned later there is another Royal Soneta location not to far away.
