This hotel is a gem in the Jordaan area. If you really want to get a good feel of Amsterdam, this is your place. It's walking distance to many attractions. The canal is right outside. The rooms are clean, the staff is extremely welcoming and helpful. They have a nice eating area with daily pastries and drinks for you. And the best was it was air-conditioned. I made a great choice staying here.

Mr. Jordaan was the perfect choice for our recent 5-night stay in Amsterdam. We were out most days, so our most important criteria were a nice bed and shower in a room where we controlled the climate, rather than a large room to lounge around. However, on days we returned to the hotel or departed later in the morning due to rain, we appreciated the dining/family area, which gave the property a B&B feel, but with the privacy and security of individual hotel rooms. This common area was open all hours, and we took advantage of the complimentary selection of snacks, spa water, sodas, cafe-quality coffee options, and teas that the staff set out for guests each day. I enjoyed returning to the common space each evening to review my itinerary and plan for the next day, and I often found other guests playing the provided board games or having a tea. My daughter and I walked almost everywhere, and we found Mr. Jordaan's place extremely convenient and accessible to many popular destinations and public transportation. The staff was generous and friendly, and made us feel welcome from check-in to departure. A continental breakfast was available for purchase, and we took advantage of it a couple of times. We appreciated starting our days with the complimentary barista-quality lattes--I miss that coffee machine and now wish I had one in my home! I would recommend Mr. Jordann for a welcoming space in a safe and walkable location.

Very quaint, quiet. Great location. There was a heat wave while there and the AC was fabulous!
