The staff were helpful and friendly, the room was spacious and soaking in the Hina wood tub after a long day was relaxing and much needed. I definitely recommend staying here!

If you’re looking for a quiet hotel with a larger spaced room this is perfect. Central location close to the markets and subway/trains. We stayed for 5 nights and loved it. The shower pressure was amazing. Would recommend.

The location of this hotel was perfect. It was a great boutique style hotel - loved it. Room was a little small but we got the basic and the price was fabulous

The Nol Hotel was very easy to get to from Kyoto Station and it is centrally located- close to the Nishiki Market and the busy shopping district. We loved walking around the neighborhood, exploring the shops and restaurants. Staff was friendly and helpful. We really liked the small lobby and enjoyed making origami animals with the colorful paper provided. The washer/dryer worked well once we google translated the directions. The directions from the QR code were complicated and not helpful. I suggest that you keep the washer/dryer door open because the heat builds up and it will overheat and stop drying. Do not dry more than 5-6 items at a time. You can dehydrate them and hang to dry. There is no clock or coffee in the room, only tea. The coffee station is in the lobby. Overall, we all enjoyed our stay. It was peaceful and we really liked the serene courtyard and garden space in our room.

Nol Kyoto Sanjo is a beautiful hotel in a great area of central Kyoto. Rooms are very zen-like and very clean! Location is perfect for shopping and dining. The staff is super friendly and helpful too. We will definitely stay here on a future Kyoto trip!

nol kyoto sanjo is a true gem of a hotel/ryokan. The location was perfect: close to all the major destinations in central Kyoto and within walking distance to Gion. Our room was a combination of western style comfort and japanese style ambiance. The room with two beds and a nice sofa was spacious and comfortable, the bathroom had a nice shower and a hiba bath. The sink area had a double-sided large mirror that was innovative in design and very convenient for two people to use at the same time. Our room had a small kitchen with cups, glasses, plates, utensils. A washing / drying machine was great to have in our room. Coffee was readily available in the morning as were snacks and cold drinks, and we also enjoyed sake tasting in the evening. We will definitely return to nol kyoto sanjo on our next visit to Kyoto.
