Great property in Kathmandu, but better than that were all the staff! Front desk staff Amir and Shristy were truly amazing and helpful and kind. Hospitality at this hotel was way above standard in my humble opinion. The rooftop pool was great and somewhat private, although just a bit on the cool side. Enjoyed the variety in the breakfast buffet as well. A very hearty "dhanyabad" to Mercure Kathmandu!

Amazing staffs and food

Our stay was awesome and staff was just amazing taking care of all our needs after 10 days of trekking. Mr Paras and Mr Abishshek at the front desks went out of their way to make sure our stay was perfect. Ms Bibita was just the most amazing host for our various meals and was always willing to go the extra mile for either the perfect capuchino , fresh juice or a freshly baked puri. The massages were also all excellent after the long trek to rejuvenate oneself. in general, I would highly recommend the Mercure hotel in Kathmandu with the most hospitable staffs.

We chose Mercure for our first anniversary and had informed the hotel in advance, hoping for a comfortable and memorable stay. Unfortunately, the experience was quite disappointing, especially considering the high amount we paid. The room we were given had multiple issues. The AC was not working properly, which made the stay uncomfortable. In the bathroom, the shampoo dispenser was not functioning, the hand wash dispenser was leaking, and the power socket near the basin was not working. Although the staff was polite and helpful they did respond after we raised complaints and managed to fix some of the issues, the overall experience was far from pleasant. For a special occasion like an anniversary, we expected better maintenance, attention to detail, and a smoother experience from the start. Overall, it did not feel worth the price we paid, and it impacted what should have been a special celebration therefore we celebrated outside the hotel.
