The arrival was initially welcoming with a nice drink and a greeting from the hotel manager. We were then showed a room on the first floor that was apparently the room we booked, but it didn’t look like the pictures. Then we were shown a better room that looked more like the photos of the room we booked, and told we could “upgrade” for $5 USD a night. When looking at the photos from the Expedia booking, they seem to be quite misleading. Great location, but the room was a bit disappointing. The shower took a long time to drain, and the bathroom in general needs a good clean of mold (and air conditioner). The bed was also hard and uncomfortable. There was a good breakfast selection though!

A spacious and comfortable room. The staff were friendly and helpful, good choices at breakfast along with eggs cooked to order. Also kindly assisted with our onward travel to Cat Ba, saving us some time and hassle. Don't miss the show and fun at Train Street nearby! Nice sandwiches around the corner at Banh Mi 25.

Great place to stay, staff were very friendly and gracious. The breakfast was great. Lots of choice and always delicious. If you are budget minded, this is a great find.
